Recently, the Chinese Society of Higher Education officially released the second batch list of selected “University Teaching Oriented Intelligent Agents and Application Cases”. Our university’s custom built Venus Smart Comprehensive Service System for Major Construction has been successfully selected for its innovation and practical application outcomes. This national level recognition from a leading academic higher education association demonstrates that our exploration of AI empowered major construction work serves as a replicable exemplary model for digital transformation practices across Chinese universities.
This case collection campaign was organized by the Chinese Society of Higher Education. It solicited innovative, practical and replicable AI teaching application outcomes from universities nationwide, aiming to build a national resource library for teaching oriented intelligent agents and promote deep integration of artificial intelligence into the full spectrum of higher education teaching and management. After rigorous multi round evaluation, our Venus Smart Comprehensive Service System for Major Construction stood out for its alignment with the positioning of application oriented undergraduate education, full chain coverage of major construction workflows, and solid connection with regional industrial demands. It reflects our university’s solid foundation and innovative capacity in smart education reform.
Rooted in our mission of cultivating application oriented talents, the Venus Smart Comprehensive Service System for Major Construction is an intelligent platform for major construction and management integrating cutting edge technologies including artificial intelligence, big data and knowledge graphs. Guided by outcome based education philosophy, it builds a closed loop full process management system covering major sector research, talent training program formulation, syllabus development, teaching implementation and achievement degree analysis. It addresses long standing pain points in traditional major construction work such as fragmented data, delayed evaluation and disconnection between education and industry.
Based on the real world industrial conditions of Liaoning Province, the platform intelligently analyzes job competency models to dynamically adjust major orientations and curriculum settings, ensuring major layouts precisely match local industrial talent demands. Visualized professional knowledge graphs and curriculum graphs clarify knowledge hierarchies of majors and logical relationships among courses, providing digital support for teachers to optimize teaching content and for students to plan learning pathways. Technically, the system adopts a stable microservice architecture capable of supporting large scale university wide teaching management scenarios. It can seamlessly interface with existing campus academic affairs systems to realize low cost intelligent upgrading of teaching management workflows, delivering actionable reference solutions for digital reform initiatives at peer application oriented universities.
Selection as a national level teaching intelligent agent application case constitutes high level industry recognition of our long term commitment to digital intelligent education reform and our practical achievements in integrating AI with major construction work. Taking this milestone as a new starting point, our university will continuously iterate and upgrade the Venus smart system. We will drive teaching oriented intelligent agents from initial deployment toward regular and in depth practical adoption, embedding digital tools into every link of talent cultivation. In response to the national strategies of building a powerful education nation and advancing educational digital transformation, our university will uphold its application oriented educational features, further advance comprehensive digital education reform, empower the whole talent training chain with digital technologies, cultivate high quality application oriented talents for Liaoning’s comprehensive revitalization, and contribute Shenyang Institute of Technology’s insights and practical experience to the high quality development of higher education across China.
