On May 13, the Second Congress of the Federation of Social Sciences of Shenyang Institute of Technology was held in the Lecture Hall of the Library. Yang Bo, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of Liaoning Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Hu Xiaomei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute, attended and addressed the meeting. Xu Ying, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Institute, was also present. Xu Ying was elected Chairwoman of the Second Committee of the Federation of Social Sciences of Shenyang Institute of Technology.

On behalf of Liaoning Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, Yang Bo extended warm congratulations on the successful convening of the congress. He stressed that as a demonstration university for applied transformation in Liaoning Province, Shenyang Institute of Technology takes "digital intelligence + integration of industry and education" as dual engines, co-builds 28 modern industrial colleges with leading enterprises such as Huawei and Midea, and creates a nationally leading AI education ecosystem, which fully demonstrates the university's two-way efforts and coordinated development in applied education and philosophical and social sciences research. The Provincial Federation of Social Sciences will continue to care for and support the construction and development of the Federation of Social Sciences of Shenyang Institute of Technology. It is hoped that the new committee of the university's Federation of Social Sciences will firmly grasp the political direction and consolidate the ideological foundation for the cause of social sciences; focus on the overall central tasks and enhance the think tank capacity for revitalization; adhere to integrity and innovation to stimulate the internal motivation of academic research; strengthen self-construction to build a warm home for social science workers, so as to make greater contributions to the prosperity and development of philosophical and social sciences in Liaoning Province and support the all-round revitalization of Liaoning.

In her speech, Hu Xiaomei thanked the Provincial Federation of Social Sciences for its strong support for the university's philosophical and social sciences work over the years, and fully affirmed the achievements made since the establishment of the university's Federation of Social Sciences. She hoped that taking the 10th anniversary of the publication of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Symposium on Philosophical and Social Sciences Work as a new starting point, all participants would strengthen political guidance, focus on practical empowerment, consciously take answering the questions of China, the world, the people and the times as their academic responsibility, take highlighting the Chinese path, Chinese governance and Chinese theories as their ideological pursuit, take the initiative to adapt to the paradigm shift in philosophical and social sciences research in the era of artificial intelligence, strive to compose a new chapter in the high-quality development of philosophical and social sciences at Shenyang Institute of Technology, and make new and greater contributions to serving Liaoning's development and supporting national strategies.

The congress deliberated and adopted the Articles of Association of the Federation of Social Sciences of Shenyang Institute of Technology (Draft) and the Election Measures for Members of the Committee of the Federation of Social Sciences of Shenyang Institute of Technology (Draft), approved the list of Chief Supervisor and Supervisors of the congress, and elected members of the Second Committee of the University Federation of Social Sciences. Subsequently, the First Plenary Session of the Second Committee deliberated and adopted the Election Measures for the Leading Body of the Committee of the Federation of Social Sciences of Shenyang Institute of Technology (Draft) and the proposed list of Chief Supervisor and Supervisors, and elected the new leading body of the University Federation of Social Sciences.

Cui Weiwei, First-Class Principal Staff Member of the Society Department of Liaoning Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, heads of relevant departments and teaching units of the university, and more than 100 representatives of the Federation of Social Sciences attended the meeting.
