On April 23, the China Government Procurement Network released the "Announcement of Results for the Liaoning Province Industrial Enterprises Above Designated Size Smart Transformation and Digital Upgrade Diagnostic Project (Part II)". Midea Cloud Digital Technology Co., Ltd., a leading service provider of the Liaoning Provincial SME New Industrialization Institute, successfully won the bid for the "High-End Textile and Fashion Brand" industry diagnostic services within the project. This marks a solid step forward in promoting the digital transformation of SMEs across the province since the establishment of the New Industrialization Institute at our university, indicating that the government-enterprise-university collaboration mechanism has begun to show results. Subsequent large-scale diagnostic services will be fully carried out through the New Industrialization Institute platform.
The Liaoning Provincial SME New Industrialization Institute was jointly established under the guidance of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. It serves as an important platform for advancing the gradient construction of smart factories and supporting the digital transformation of SMEs. The platform integrates several "Smart Transformation and Digital Upgrade" service enterprises, including Shanghai Hui Cheng Engineering Technology Services Co., Ltd., Aiantai Technology (Changzhou) Co., Ltd., Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., KUKA Industrial Robots, Rockwell Automation (China) Co., Ltd., LangChuang Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., Siemens Factory Automation Engineering Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou South Surveying and Mapping Technology Co., Ltd. As the leading cooperative service provider of the New Industrialization Institute, Midea Cloud will rely on the "Liaoning Province SME Smart Transformation and Digital Upgrade Experience Center" and the Industrial Agent built by the New Industrialization Institute to provide digital diagnosis and transformation solution guidance covering the entire value chain—including R&D, production, supply, sales, management, and services—for the high-end textile and fashion brand industry.
Since our university signed a cooperation framework agreement with Midea Cloud, the two parties have focused on the core pain points of SME digital transformation and established a promotion path centered on "platform building, capability cultivation, and joint operation." The "Liaoning Province SME Smart Transformation and Digital Upgrade Experience Center" has introduced a full-chain digital transformation system from international standard lighthouse factories. Enterprises can experience the efficiency gains brought by smart transformation and digital upgrades through immersive experiences and receive "one-enterprise-one-policy" transformation guidance.
Another core goal of the partnership is to jointly build an Industrial Agent. This Agent integrates Midea’s industrial knowledge base, the university's high-quality teaching resources, and real-world enterprise data. It possesses capabilities such as AI-driven learning path planning, multi modal interaction, and personalized teaching. It serves not only cross-disciplinary teaching at the undergraduate and master's levels but also extends to diverse scenarios such as corporate job training and employee competency certification. The successfully won project will also provide real business data and practical support for the Industrial Agent's knowledge acquisition, model training, and scenario adaptation in the high-end textile industry. In the future, the Industrial Agent will continue to iterate, promoting deep alignment between educational content and industry needs, and supporting the coordinated development of new industrialization talent cultivation and industrial upgrading in Liaoning.
Midea Cloud's successful bid is both a concentrated demonstration of the New Industrialization Institute's platform capabilities and a phased achievement of the complementary strengths and coordinated development between our university and Midea Cloud.
