On April 28, a special training session on artificial intelligence and spatiotemporal information for members of the People's Political Consultative Conference (PPCC) of Wanghua District, Fushun City, was held at our institute. The delegation was led by Fan Shijun, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the PPCC of Wanghua District, Fushun City. Hu Xiaomei, Party Secretary of our institute, and Liu Aiqiu, Financial Controller of our institute, accompanied the delegation during their visit.
Focused on cutting-edge technologies, the training centered on key areas such as artificial intelligence, BeiDou spatiotemporal information, and satellite remote sensing. It adopted a format combining theoretical lectures, on-site visits, and hands-on practical training, effectively providing targeted "recharging and capacity building" for the PPCC members, helping them broaden their perspectives in performing their duties and enhance their professional competencies.
At the Huawei-Shenyang Institute of Technology Modern Industrial College, our institute's faculty provided a detailed introduction to the construction achievements of the provincial-level modern industrial college. They systematically explained the development history and core definitions of artificial intelligence, as well as its application scenarios and development prospects in fields such as industry, people's livelihoods, and scientific innovation. The PPCC members then visited the Huawei-Shenyang Institute of Technology Ascend AI Laboratory, where they conducted object detection training and learned AI model deployment methods. Through immersive hands-on practice, they deepened their understanding of artificial intelligence technology and established a foundational cognitive framework.
At the Shenyang Institute of Technology-South Surveying and Mapping BeiDou Spatiotemporal Information Industry College, the PPCC members visited the Metaverse Innovation Center, the BeiDou Navigation and Low-Altitude Economy Service Application Center, and the Satellite Remote Sensing Innovation Application Center. Using concrete cases, our faculty explained in an accessible yet insightful manner the practical achievements of satellite remote sensing technology in fields such as agriculture, environmental protection, and surveying and mapping. Through interactive discussions and case analysis, the members gained a comprehensive understanding of core concepts, functions, and application value in the field of spatiotemporal information.
The training content was practical and targeted, and the format was efficient and useful, receiving unanimous praise from the participating PPCC members. They expressed that the training had deepened their understanding of new knowledge, new technologies, new industries, and new frontiers, injecting strong momentum into their ability to offer precise advice and perform their duties effectively in the future.
The training was attended by members of the Standing Committee of the PPCC of Wanghua District, Fushun City; directors and resident deputy directors of various specialized committees; heads of different sector groups; directors of the PPCC working committees in towns and subdistricts; and a number of PPCC members.
