On January 5, a delegation from A&T Technology (Changzhou) Co., Ltd., led by General Manager Wang Wei, visited Shenyang Institute of Technology (SIT) for inspection and exchange. The two sides held in-depth discussions on deepening industry-education integration, jointly cultivating high-quality application-oriented talents, and supporting industrial transformation and upgrading, and reached a number of cooperation consensuses. Wang Zhaobao, Chairman of SIT, met with the delegation and attended the symposium.

At the symposium, Chairman Wang Zhaobao extended a warm welcome to the visitors and elaborated on the university’s core concept of “building majors on the industrial chain” and its practical achievements in industry-education integration. He noted that the university always takes intelligent agent development as the support for theoretical teaching and adheres to the priority of practical teaching. By deeply integrating real enterprise projects and horizontal research topics into the whole process of teaching, SIT has established an integrated training system that connects teaching, practice and entrepreneurship. In response to Liaoning Province’s strategy of “Intelligent Transformation and Digital Reform”, the university takes serving the construction of a new-type industrialization institute for small and medium-sized enterprises in the province as a key task. It has jointly built modern industrial colleges with leading enterprises including Midea, Huawei and KUKA, and integrated resources of practical teaching centers to form a strong synergy in talent cultivation, injecting impetus into the digital transformation of industries in the region and across the country. He emphasized that the development directions of Shenyang Institute of Technology and A&T Technology are highly compatible in intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence and other fields. He looked forward to the two sides joining hands to explore new models of talent training, carry out technical research and project tackling, and achieve complementary advantages and win-win results.

Wang Wei spoke highly of the university’s educational philosophy and achievements in industry-education integration. He introduced that A&T Technology originated from Harbin Institute of Technology and has profound experience in automated manufacturing fields such as semiconductor equipment. The company has established close cooperative relations with leading enterprises including Midea, laying a solid foundation for cooperation with SIT. The company’s business covers four core sectors of “two soft and two hard” key technologies: automation components, automation equipment, materials and software. It also has an in-depth layout in computing power deployment for robot training in scenarios such as logistics. He stated that the company highly recognizes the quality of talent training at SIT and expects to carry out joint training programs with the university in processing and manufacturing, embodied robots, artificial intelligence and other fields to realize in-depth complementarity of university-enterprise resources.

After in-depth exchanges, the two sides reached a number of cooperation consensuses on collaborative education and scientific research cooperation. In the future, relying on real industrial scenarios, both sides will further strengthen practical teaching: practical models and enterprise projects from A&T Technology will be included in the graduation project topics of relevant majors at SIT. The “dual-supervisor system” — combining university supervisors and enterprise supervisors — will be implemented to ensure that research topics are both industry-leading and practically applicable, achieving precise alignment between talent training and industrial demand. Meanwhile, the two sides will focus on key fields including processing and manufacturing, automation and robotics, jointly design paths for integrating teaching content with cutting-edge industrial developments, formulate concrete and operable cooperation plans, and explore ways of university-enterprise collaborative education, so as to cultivate more high-quality application-oriented talents for the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry.

Prior to the symposium, Wang Wei and his entourage visited the Advanced Manufacturing Center, Intelligent High-Speed Five-Axis Practical Teaching Base, Huawei-SIT Modern Industry College, SIT-Midea Digital Lighthouse College, and KUKA-Authorized Industrial Robotics College of SIT.
