At the opening ceremony, Hu Xiaomei, Secretary of the University Party Committee, read out a congratulatory letter from the Liaoning Provincial Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports Trade Union to the congress. The letter highly praised the achievements of the university's trade union work in the past five years, emphasizing the need to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, unite and mobilize the broad faculty and staff of the university to create a new situation in trade union work.
At the meeting, Li Kangju, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee and President, delivered a work report on behalf of the university. The report systematically reviews the fruitful achievements made by the school in various undertakings in the past five years: adhere to the guidance of party building, and make the direction of running a school more firm; Successfully build a cluster of modern industrial colleges, and form an exemplary "Shengong Scheme"; Take the lead in launching digital and intelligent transformation, and significantly improve governance efficiency; The professional connotation has been continuously strengthened, and the level of talent training has been significantly improved; The quantity and quality of teaching staff have been improved, and international exchanges and cooperation have been continuously deepened; The basic conditions of the campus have been continuously upgraded, and the service guarantee ability has been significantly enhanced. Zhou Yongchang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice president, made a work report on behalf of the school trade union committee. The report summarizes the achievements of trade union work in the past five years: adhering to the correct political direction and continuously deepening ideological and political guidance; Strictly implement the system of teachers' congress, and constantly improve the management and supervision mechanism of *; Give full play to the role of bridges and ties, and the happiness of faculty and staff will be significantly enhanced; The cultural activities of trade unions are rich and colorful, and the brand building of campus culture is effectively improved; Grass-roots trade unions are well organized and their ability to perform their duties has been steadily improved. The report clarified the overall requirements for future trade union work: closely centering on the university's 15th Five-Year Plan, focusing on implementing the five major projects of "consolidating hearts and souls, deepening democracy, providing warm-hearted services, empowering growth, and strengthening foundations", actively building a new "5+N" work pattern, uniting and mobilizing all faculty and staff to contribute wisdom and strength to building a top-tier application-oriented university.
The meeting will consider the financial work report of the school trade union and the work report of the trade union fund review in writing. The resolution of the review conference on the school work report, the resolution of the conference on the school union work report, and three other reports. The conference unanimously passed various resolutions.
By secret ballot, the conference elected 15 members of the Executive Committee of the Second Faculty Congress of Shenyang Institute of Technology, 17 members of the Second Trade Union Committee, 5 members of the Trade Union Fund Review Committee and 5 members of the Trade Union Female Workers Committee. Zhou Yongchang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice president, was elected as the director of the Executive Committee of the Second Teachers' Congress and the chairman of the trade union committee, Bai Jing, director of the organization department of the Party Committee, was elected as the vice chairman of the trade union committee, Yu Lu, director of the assets and finance department, was elected as the director of the trade union fund review committee, and Zhao Mingyu, director of the personnel department, was elected as the director of the female workers' committee of the trade union.
