On November 10, Shenyang Institute of Technology and Guangzhou Southern Surveying and Mapping Technology Co., Ltd. held a signing and unveiling ceremony. The two parties signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement and officially established the "National Demonstration Base for BeiDou Spatiotemporal Information Industry College" and the "National Demonstration Base for Metaverse Intelligent Surveying and Mapping." This marks a new phase in the integration of industry and education in the field of surveying and mapping geographic information. In his speech, Yang Guofan stated that currently, the surveying and mapping industry is accelerating its intelligent transformation, and deepening the integration of industry and education is of great significance for improving educational quality, promoting economic transformation and upgrading, and serving the "Digital China" and the construction of Liaoning as an industrial powerhouse. This partnership agreement covers seven core areas. Guided by the principles of "joint talent development, collaborative process management, shared achievements, and shared responsibilities," both parties will work to establish the industry college as a national model for industry-education integration. They aim to build a tripartite technological ecosystem and talent development hub integrating "metaverse + Beidou and low-altitude economy + remote sensing," creating a closed loop of "talent output, technological empowerment, and industrial upgrading."
