On November 6, Hu Jianfeng, Vice President of China Education Group and President of Yantai Institute of Science and Technology, led a delegation to our college for an inspection and exchange. The two sides held in-depth discussions on key topics including AI-enabled education and teaching, deep integration of industry and education, university-enterprise collaborative innovation, internationalization strategies, and the modernization of institute governance systems. Wang Zhaobao, Chairman of our institute, attended the symposium and accompanied the delegation on a tour.
At the symposium, Chairman Wang Zhaobao extended a warm welcome to Hu Jianfeng and his delegation, sharing insights and experiences regarding our college's institutional qualification evaluation, digital transformation, and AI general education. He emphasized that our college is actively transitioning from experience-based management to data-driven governance, a shift predicated on robust communication networks, computing power, and cloud support. In terms of curriculum, our college has introduced AI general education courses for all freshmen, viewing this as a core future competency. Regarding educational philosophy, he stressed the importance of collaborating with AI while integrating corporate cultures of leading enterprises like Huawei, focusing on cultivating students' sense of responsibility, logical thinking, and communication skills to holistically foster their growth and development.
Hu Jianfeng expressed gratitude for the warm reception and provided an overview of Yantai Institute of Science and Technology. He stated that the purpose of the visit was to learn from Shenyang Institute of Technology's advanced practices in industry-education integration and AI application. In the face of challenges and opportunities brought by the rapid advancement of AI technology, he noted that private institutions must proactively embrace change, seize the window of technological revolution, and actively explore paths for high-quality development. He expressed hope for deeper and more frequent interactions between the two institutes in the future, jointly exploring the development of private higher education in the AI era.
Prior to the symposium, Hu Jianfeng and his delegation visited our institute's Huawei-Shenyang Institute of Technology Modern Industry College, Shenyang Institute of Technology-Midea Digital Lighthouse College, and the KUKA Authorized Industrial Robotics College. Zhang Zhuhua, Dean of the College of Information and Control, demonstrated our institute's teaching innovations and practical achievements in intelligent manufacturing and AI through an on-site micro-lecture.
This inspection and exchange enhanced mutual understanding between our institute and Yantai Institute of Science and Technology, leading to consensus on multiple educational reform and development initiatives, thereby laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.
