On November 5, Chen Yitian, Chairman of Jilin University of Architecture and Technology, led a delegation to our university for an inspection and exchange. The two colleges engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including the construction of modern industrial colleges, the integration of industry and education, and university-enterprise cooperation. Wang Zhaobao, Chairman of our college, attended the symposium and accompanied the delegation on a campus tour.
At the symposium, Chairman Wang Zhaobao extended a warm welcome to Chen Yitian and his delegation, providing a detailed introduction to our university's development history, educational characteristics, and achievements in digital transformation and talent cultivation. Chairman Wang noted that Jilin University of Architecture and Technology has distinct strengths in cultivating applied talents, presenting broad opportunities for collaboration between the two institutions. In response to the new requirements for higher education reform and development in the new era, Chairman Wang emphasized that the two institutes should work hand in hand to explore new pathways and models for industry-education integration. Particularly in the construction of modern industrial institutes, our two institutes could share resources, complement each other’s strengths, and achieve synergistic development.
Chen Hong, Head of the Education Sector at KUKA China, offered insights from an enterprise perspective, introducing KUKA Robotics' cutting-edge technologies in intelligent manufacturing and successful cases of collaboration with higher education institutions. She highlighted the initial results achieved since KUKA’s partnership with our college, including optimizing the curriculum system, innovating talent cultivation models, and establishing operational mechanisms for co-building industrial colleges. She expressed KUKA China’s willingness to actively support collaboration between the two colleges in related fields by providing advanced technological platforms and practical resources to jointly promote the cultivation of talent for the intelligent manufacturing industry.
Chen Yitian expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and spoke highly of our college’s remarkable achievements in building modern industrial colleges. He introduced the general situation and development overview of Jilin University of Architecture and Technology. He pointed out that the two universities share many commonalities in the construction of modern industrial colleges and the models for cultivating applied talents, facing similar opportunities and challenges. He noted that many of Shenyang Institute of Technology’s valuable experiences and innovative approaches are worth learning from. He hopes to use this meeting as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation and exchanges, working together to outline a more strategic and systematic blueprint for collaboration.
Before the symposium, Chen Yitian and his delegation visited our institute’s Intelligent Manufacturing Practical Teaching Center and the KUKA Authorized Industrial Robotics Institute.
