Recently, the results of the 2025 Typical Case Selection for Application Scenarios of Industry-Talent Integration by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology were announced. Our college's "Industrial Artificial Intelligence" scenario was successfully selected. This achievement marks the widespread national recognition of the college's practices in the integration of industry and education, intelligent manufacturing, and the cultivation of talent in next-generation information technologies. It highlights our college's outstanding effectiveness in serving regional industrial upgrading and talent empowerment.
As an institution deeply engaged in the field of intelligent manufacturing, our college has explored and developed a distinctive "SIT Model" for the coordinated development of industry and talent. This model establishes a collaborative operational mechanism involving the government, university, enterprises, and research institutions. The university actively connects industrial resources, collaborating with leading companies such as Huawei, Midea, KUKA, and Siemens to co-establish 19 modern industrial institutes. Simultaneously, it has built 24 high-level digital-intelligence-enabled practical teaching centers and 302 laboratories, forming an integrated platform for teaching, practice, and research that covers the entire process of intelligent manufacturing.
In talent cultivation, our college innovatively adopts models such as the "Dual Mentor System," "Order-Based Classes," and "Micro-Degrees," integrating cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, industrial robotics, digital twins, and MES/ERP system integration into the curriculum. This ensures precise alignment between talent cultivation and industry needs. Additionally, the university has established a one-stop comprehensive service platform that integrates technological research and development, talent cultivation, achievement transformation, and policy consultation. Through online and offline integrated operations, it promotes the open sharing of research equipment, data resources, and talent resources.
Leveraging this well-developed industry-talent integration system, in recent years our college has supplied a large number of high-quality applied talents to the field of intelligent manufacturing and related sectors. The employment quality of graduates has significantly improved, with employer satisfaction exceeding 96%, strongly supporting the development of key strategic regions under the "Belt and Road" initiative and regional intelligent manufacturing industrial clusters. These innovative practices have not only effectively addressed industry pain points such as the difficulty of integrating IT and OT in intelligent manufacturing, reliance on external core technologies, and insufficient collaboration in the transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, but have also tangibly enhanced students' industrial literacy and career sustainability. This has established a virtuous cycle where "industry empowers talent growth, and talent drives industrial upgrading."
Looking ahead, our college will continue to be guided by the integration of the "talent chain, education chain, industry chain, and innovation chain," further deepening the integration of industry and education and reforms in talent cultivation. It will provide solid talent support and intellectual guarantees for promoting the high-quality development of the intelligent manufacturing industry and fostering new quality productive forces, contributing more "SIT Strength" to the strategic goal of building a strong manufacturing nation.
