On October 22nd, Qiao Zhe, the president of Hebei Software Vocational and Technical College, and his delegation visited SIT for inspection and exchange. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as the construction of modern industrial colleges, collaborative education between schools and enterprises, and education empowered by artificial intelligence. SIT principal Li Kangju attended the symposium and accompanied the visit.
At the symposium, Li Kangju warmly welcomed the visit of Qiao Zhe and his delegation, and briefly introduced the school’s educational situation. As the largest private undergraduate university in Liaoning Province, the school focuses on engineering, covering multiple disciplines such as management, art, and life sciences, and has three national first-class undergraduate major construction sites. The school actively explores new paths for the integration of industry and education, collaborates deeply with leading enterprises in the industry, and jointly builds a modern industrial college to deeply integrate enterprise technology, products, and curriculum systems, and jointly carry out curriculum development and teaching practices. Li Kangju specifically mentioned the cooperation with Huawei, emphasizing that Huawei has provided comprehensive support to schools in talent cultivation, faculty building, and other aspects, forming a two-way radiation mechanism centered on “ability centers”. It not only serves social training and enterprise needs, but also empowers students’ comprehensive literacy through digital technology and language skills. At the same time, Huawei has provided sufficient technical support and resource guarantees to address issues such as the adaptability of teachers and students after the introduction of new technologies. He stated that the school uses Huawei technology as the foundation and Midea management technology as the architecture to systematically promote educational and teaching reforms, and looks forward to mutual learning and development with Hebei Software Vocational and Technical College.
Qiao Zhe expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of SIT and introduced the educational characteristics of Hebei Software Vocational and Technical College. The school is located in Baoding City, Hebei Province, covering an area of 600 acres with over 1,300 students. It has 6 departments and 6 professional groups, adhering to the principle of building departments through groups and focusing on talent cultivation in the field of information technology. Over the past year of cooperation between the school and Huawei, they have jointly established curriculum systems such as HarmonyOS and Kunpeng, and continue to deliver outstanding graduates to Huawei and its ecosystem enterprises. He stated that the purpose of this visit is to learn from the advanced experience of Shenyang Institute of Technology in school enterprise cooperation, undergraduate education system construction, and other aspects, especially the model of jointly building a modern industrial college with Huawei, providing reference for the future development of the college.
Huawei representative Jiang Yutong gave a special report on “Empowering Education and Teaching with Big Models”. He introduced that Huawei focuses on the AI+ICT field and is committed to building a professional and intelligent education upgrade base, providing intelligent agent construction and personalized customization services for universities. The “Innovative Application of Artificial Intelligence Technology in Teaching Informatization” project, jointly initiated by the Information Management Center of the Ministry of Education, the Informationization Education Guidance Committee of Vocational Colleges, Huawei, and Tsinghua University, injects new impetus into the digital transformation of education.
