On September 24th, Datuk Cheng Xiuqiang, Chairman of the ASEAN General Chamber of Commerce for Shared Development, and Chen Jia, Chairman of Information Valley (Tianjin) Industry Education Integration Technology Co., Ltd., visited our school for inspection and exchange. Our school's chairman Wang Zhaobao and vice president Xu Ying attended the meeting. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on key issues such as joint talent cultivation and international employment market integration.
At the meeting, Wang Zhaobao systematically introduced the school's educational characteristics and development achievements. He pointed out that Shenyang Institute of Technology has always adhered to a development strategy that combines high-level "inviting in" and high-quality "going out", and innovatively constructs a new model for cultivating international applied talents with "specialty+language". In terms of deep integration of industry and education, we have carried out in-depth school enterprise cooperation with leading enterprises in the industry such as Huawei, Midea, and KUKA, jointly building multiple modern industrial colleges, and creating practical teaching centers with advanced technology and equipment. By accurately matching the curriculum system with industry needs, students can be exposed to cutting-edge technology and participate in practical projects during their school years, effectively enhancing their employment competitiveness and career development potential. At the same time, the school is further promoting the development and application of intelligent agents, laying a solid digital foundation for students in various majors, and fully cultivating high-quality applied talents that meet the needs of industrial development.
Datuk Zheng Xiuqiang highly praised our school's educational philosophy, exploration of digital education, and achievements in the integration of industry and education. He stated that Johor Bahru, Malaysia, as a joint economic zone between Singapore and Malaysia, has attracted a large number of enterprises to settle in, and there is an urgent demand for excellent digital talents. Moreover, the local area has abundant educational resources and a good foundation for cooperation. He hopes that both sides can fully leverage their respective advantages and build a multi angle, multi field, and all-round cooperation bridge: on the one hand, relying on the ASEAN General Chamber of Commerce for Shared Development platform, providing international employment docking services for students of Shenyang Institute of Technology and opening up high-quality employment channels; On the other hand, we plan to collaborate with key universities in Malaysia to establish a master's joint training center with Shenyang Institute of Technology. We will carry out cooperative projects such as student joint training, teacher-student exchanges, and overseas internships to help the school create a globally competitive educational model and inject new momentum into regional economic cooperation and international talent cultivation.
At the meeting, both sides had in-depth discussions on core issues such as innovative talent cultivation models and details of overseas internship and employment cooperation. They reached a preliminary consensus on multiple cooperation intentions and unanimously agreed to steadily promote the implementation of various cooperation projects in the future, and work together to promote deep cooperation and development in the field of education.
Before the meeting, the delegation visited our university's Shenyang Institute of Technology Southern Surveying and Mapping Beidou Spatiotemporal Information Industry College, Huawei Shenyang Institute of Technology Modern Industry College, Practical Teaching Base of Preschool Education College, Shenyang Institute of Technology Midea Digital Lighthouse College, Shenyang Institute of Technology Siemens College, and KUKA Authorized Industrial Robot College.
