On September 23rd, the 25th China International Industrial Fair grandly kicked off in Shanghai. As a national level event showcasing the forefront of China's industrial development and the global trend of intelligent manufacturing, this year's CIIE, with the theme of "New Industrial Quality, Boundless Intelligent Manufacturing", brings together top enterprises, innovative technologies, and experts and scholars from around the world. The exhibition area covers 300000 square meters, attracting nearly 3000 companies from 28 countries including the United States, Germany, Japan, and France to participate, achieving the largest scale in history. During the conference, our school deeply participated in the "New Craftsman Star" Excellent Engineer Order Class presentation organized by KUKA Robotics Co., Ltd., and signed a new round of cooperation and training agreement with KUKA, marking a new stage of systematic and large-scale cooperation between the two parties. Our school's chairman Wang Zhaobao, president Li Kangju, dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering Gong Yadong, and KUKA China's Minister of Education Chen Hong attended the event.

At the lecture, Li Kangju gave a keynote speech titled "Joining Hands with KUKA to Cultivate High Quality Talents in the Field of Intelligent Manufacturing", systematically introducing the cooperation process between our school and KUKA since 2019. He pointed out that in the face of the urgent demand for robot technology talents in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, both sides have jointly established the KUKA Authorized Industrial Robot Academy, creating an industrial robot technology training platform that integrates teaching, practical training, and research and development. This platform covers multiple practical areas such as maintenance, automotive, heavy-duty, 3C light and medium load, and mobile robots. It synchronously introduces KUKA standard training modules, learning factories, and digital twin technology, significantly improving practical teaching conditions.

In terms of teacher empowerment, relying on KUKA's advanced technology training system, our school has 64 teachers who have completed primary training and 7 teachers who have passed intermediate certification. They have not only mastered core skills such as industrial robot simulation, programming, and automation production line operation and maintenance, but also developed more than 10 enterprise level practical teaching modules such as "Robot Disassembly and Assembly Training" and "Production Line Simulation Debugging", effectively promoting the integration of the classroom with the forefront of the industry and providing solid dual support of teachers and practice for the cultivation of applied talents.

As the core carrier of cooperation between the two parties, the "New Craftsman Star" Excellent Engineer Order Class innovatively constructs a "Five Co" deep integration mechanism of "jointly determining plans, jointly building courses, jointly organizing teaching, and jointly evaluating quality". This mechanism is driven by real enterprise projects, fully integrating typical application cases of KUKA robots and the latest industry standards into the professional curriculum system, forming a multi-level ability training path from basic operations to system integration, from simulation design to practical debugging, and helping students grow into technical talents that meet industry needs.

As of now, KUKA Order Class has successfully launched three batches and trained a total of 205 students. Enterprise engineers regularly teach in the classroom, while students engage in on-the-job and graduation internships at KUKA Company and ecological enterprises, achieving seamless integration of the "classroom laboratory factory" scenario. According to statistics, more than 150 students have entered KUKA and its ecosystem enterprises for internships, and 32 graduates have successfully joined KUKA China with solid engineering practice and innovation abilities, achieving significant results in high-quality employment.

This visit to the Industry Expo not only showcased our school's solid achievements in cultivating applied talents and integrating industry and education, but also further consolidated and expanded our strategic cooperation with KUKA Company. Both parties have explicitly stated their intention to deepen exploration in the construction of "AI+robots" intelligent agents, the development of bilingual teaching resources, and the cultivation of international talents, in order to promote cooperation towards broader fields and deeper levels.

In the future, our school will continue to strengthen the collaboration and linkage with Kuka Group in the field of intelligent manufacturing, integrate the advantages of mechanical engineering, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet and other disciplines, continue to optimize the order class education mode of "school enterprise collaboration, project penetration, and capability progression", make every effort to create a new education ecology of "classroom laboratory factory" seamless connection, and cultivate more high-quality, complex technical and skilled talents to help regional industrial upgrading and service the global development of manufacturing industry.
