Shenzhen welcomed a grand event in the education and healthcare industries on July 11 - the 2025 Global Education and Healthcare Partner China Week. During the event, Huawei successfully held the Education and Healthcare Industry Partner Summit. More than 300 partner guests from 40 countries gathered together to explore the digital transformation of the education and healthcare industries, discuss development opportunities, build industrial ecosystems, and share transformation value. Professor Justin from our university was invited to attend the summit and share our school’s practical exploration of deepening industry-education integration with Huawei in the digital age, which attracted widespread attention.P1
Li Junfeng, Vice President of Huawei and CEO of the Public Sector Business Unit, delivered a speech entitled “Jointly Accelerating the Intelligent Transformation of Education and Healthcare” at the summit. He pointed out that the education and healthcare industries are standing at the forefront of the global digital transformation revolution. Huawei is willing to work with many partners to build a friendly, mutually trusting, win-win, and sustainable global partner ecosystem through various methods such as building joint solutions, cultivating industry ecosystems, establishing industry beacon projects, and innovating cooperation models.P1
In his speech, Li Junfeng thanked Shenyang Institute of Technology, as a global model for Huawei’s industry-education integration, for its positive demonstration role in cultivating compound talents. In the digital wave, technologies such as DeepSeek, which is characterized by “low cost, high performance, and full openness,” are constantly making breakthroughs. Frontier technologies such as industrial Internet of Things and robots are driving industrial development towards digitalization, automation, and networking, which puts forward new requirements for higher education talent training.P1P2
Our university and Huawei launched the construction of a modern industrial college in September 2024. Through signing strategic agreements, building the Xingchen Joint Innovation Laboratory, and upgrading the Ascend artificial intelligence teaching platform, we have rapidly promoted industry-education integration. In 2025, both sides further deepened cooperation, completed the upgrade of artificial intelligence computing power, deployed the DeepSeek large model and developed multi-terminal applications, forming a school-enterprise collaborative innovation model of “infrastructure-technology breakthroughs-application implementation,” becoming one of the universities with a large scale and wide technical coverage in the global cooperation with Huawei. The new “co-evolution” model built by both sides, through the seven construction dimensions of modern industrial colleges, optimizes the structure of majors, reconstructs curriculum content, and forms a collaborative education system. The industrial college adopts an industry-education integration teaching model, with school-enterprise dual teachers collaborating in teaching and developing project-based teaching materials, promoting the precise docking of professional courses with industrial needs. The school has explored a progressive talent training path, cultivating students in different stages according to their needs, and achieved remarkable results. For example, computer students have quickly mastered the technology of developing HarmonyOS applications under the guidance of Huawei lecturers.P2
Relying on Huawei’s computing power, our school completed the local deployment of DeepSeek and developed applications such as “Shengong Baishi Tong” and “Smart Learning Platform,” promoting the deep integration of artificial intelligence and education. The school also promotes graduate employment and enhances the school’s reputation and influence through activities such as talent double selection fairs.P3
During the roundtable forum on July 11, Justin pointed out that AI has a subversive impact on education development. Reasonable use can improve teachers’ teaching efficiency and help cultivate cross-disciplinary compound talents. In the future, Shenyang Institute of Technology will continue to deepen cooperation with Huawei, innovate talent training models, and create more value for students, enterprises, and society, leading the way in the digital wave and writing a new chapter of glory.
