On July 4, the "2025 Global Digital Economy Conference Digital Talent International Cooperation Forum", sponsored by the Organizing Committee of the Global Digital Economy Conference and co- organized by the China Institute of Vocational and Technical Education and the China Industrial Internet Research Institute, was grandly held in Beijing. As the third batch of construction units for the "Industry Education Integration Practice Center" between the China Vocational and Technical Education Association and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., our school was invited to participate in the grand event. Principal Li Kangju represented the school at the forum and attended the signing ceremony. Participating in this event marks a crucial step for the higher vocational and technical college of the university in the field of internationalization of vocational education and deep integration of industry and education, injecting new momentum into cultivating digital talents with a global perspective.
The forum, with the theme of "Building Digital Friendly Cities", brought together dozens of domestic and foreign vocational colleges such as Beijing Information Vocational and Technical College, Wuhan Vocational and Technical University, and Shanghai Urban Construction Vocational College, as well as school enterprise cooperation units such as China Communications Enterprise Association, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., and Beijing Digital Enterprise Overseas Innovation Service Base. The attending experts focused on the five major topics of "friendship, development, diversity, green, and security" for in-depth dialogue, jointly exploring the path of building a global talent ecosystem in the digital economy era. Lu Xin, President of the China Vocational and Technical Education Association and former Deputy Minister of Education, delivered a keynote speech on "Adapting to Digital Technology Empowerment and Cultivating Talents Supporting Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Skills" at the meeting. Emphasizing that digital talent is the core element driving new quality productivity, it is necessary to establish a collaborative innovation system guided by the government, led by enterprises, and supported by universities.
At the signing ceremony of the forum, President Li Kangju, along with several well-known vocational universities such as Wuhan Vocational and Technical University, Weihai Vocational College, and Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of Industry and Commerce, jointly signed the "Intention Construction Unit of Industry Education Integration Practice Center" with enterprises such as Huawei, pointing out the direction for exploring new paths and models of school - enterprise cooperation in the future, improving the fit between vocational education and industrial development, and promoting high-quality development of vocational education industry education integration.
As a key "Industry Education Integration Practice Center" university in Northeast China, our university has jointly established Huawei Shenyang Institute of Technology Modern Industry College with Huawei, introduced the Huawei ICT College certification system, and developed multiple practical courses such as Data Communication, Big Data, and HarmonyOS. This group signing will further promote the development of the school in higher vocational education, making the cultivation of high skilled talents an important direction for school - enterprise cooperation, and forming a three-dimensional training system of "major + industrial college + practical base".
Since last year, our school has jointly established 19 modern industrial colleges and 24 practical teaching centers with leading companies in industries such as Huawei and Midea, empowering talent cultivation with digital technology and building a new teaching model that integrates "real-life, practical, and practical training". Huawei Shenyang Institute of Technology covers six major technological directions, including Huawei Data Communications, 5G, Big Model Big Data, HarmonyOS, Ascend, and Kunpeng. 16 Huawei Gold Medal lecturers are stationed for on-site teaching, transforming real enterprise projects into teaching content. Together with school teachers, they carry out a "dual teacher teaching" and a three-level training system of "cognition practice innovation", allowing students to gradually improve from cognition to application, ultimately possessing the professional ability of "ready to use".
With the deepening implementation of the "Digital Liaoning, Intelligent Manufacturing Strong Province" strategy, we will take the integration of industry and education as the fulcrum, leverage the internationalization reform of vocational education, cultivate technical and skilled elites through "bringing enterprises into education", serve Chinese enterprises "going global" through "teaching with output", and ultimately build a demonstration base for the internationalization of digital talent training in Northeast China.
The signing of this trip to Beijing not only showcases the practical achievements of industry education integration, but also occupies an important position in the global digital talent ecosystem. With the continuous expansion of international cooperation networks, our higher vocational and technical college has officially integrated into the global digital talent training network. The school will rely on Huawei's "Practice Center for Integration of Industry and Education" to carry out in-depth cooperation in the fields of industrial Internet, artificial intelligence, etc., such as mutual recognition of standards, joint construction of courses, and credit exchange.
