On July 3rd, a delegation of 11 people from Shanghai Jianqiao University, including Chairman Zhao Donghui, Executive Vice President Zhang Zhen, Vice President Zhao Leihong, Director of the Academic Affairs Office Chen Niansheng, and Deputy Director of the Industry-Education Integration Promotion Center Xu Lei, came to our school for an inspection and exchange. Both sides had an in-depth exchange and discussion on the exploration and practice of industrial college construction and its future direction, as well as how private colleges and universities can deepen the integration of industry and education and improve the quality of education in the wave of digital transformation. Wang Zhaobao, the chairman of our school, and Gong Peiguo, the executive vice president, attended the event.
At the symposium, Wang Zhaobao extended a warm welcome to Zhao Donghui and his team, and elaborated on the construction ideas of our school's industry college in detail. Based on the actual situation of the school, problems should be identified. By establishing an industrial college, the teaching level of teachers can be improved, and ultimately the goal of enhancing students' abilities can be achieved. During the construction of the Huawei - Shenyang Institute of Technology Modern Industry College, our school restructured the curriculum system and integrated 101 courses into actual industrial projects of Huawei, allowing teachers and students to experience the actual working scenarios of the industry in an immersive way. Through establishing cooperation with Huawei and its ecosystem partners, we have effectively improved the research and project delivery capabilities of our teachers, as well as the entrepreneurship and employment levels of both teachers and students.
Zhao Donghui fully affirmed our school's educational philosophy and the future development direction towards digital transformation, and also highly praised the construction achievements of our school's industry college. He pointed out that educational reform is a long and arduous task. If a long-term management mechanism is to be established, schools need to guide all teachers to undergo digital transformation in the long term. During the transformation process of private colleges and universities, teachers are the main body. By leveraging enterprises to drive educational and teaching reforms, with industrial colleges as the main body and secondary colleges providing technical support, the transformation can be successful.
At the symposium, both sides engaged in a lively discussion on the development of industry-education integration courses, the construction of industry-education integration teacher teams, the establishment of industry-education integration management mechanisms, and the outlet for talent cultivation, and reached a consensus. Both sides agreed that under the wave of digital transformation in higher education, private colleges and universities need to proactively embrace changes, continuously explore new paradigms of industry-education integration, cultivate high-quality applied talents that meet the demands of the new era's industries, and contribute greater strength to the regional economic and social development.
Before the symposium, Zhao Donghui and his team visited the Huawei - Shenyang Institute of Technology Modern Industry College and personally experienced the practical teaching courses of the Huawei - Shenyang Institute of Technology Modern Industry College.
Yang Yue, the director of the Academic Affairs Office of our school, Yao Jian, the director of the Modern Educational Technology Service Center, Zhang Zhuhua, the dean of the School of Information and Control, and Liu Pai, the vice dean of the School of Continuing Education, accompanied the inspection and participated in the symposium.
