To deeply implement the national strategy for educational digitization and promote the in-depth integration of artificial intelligence technology with education and teaching, from June 10th to 11th, President Li Kangju and his delegation visited Anhui Institute of Information Technology and iFLYTEK Co., Ltd. to carry out research and exchanges on university digital transformation, smart campus construction, and other related topics.
On June 10th, Wu Min, President of Anhui Institute of Information Technology, warmly received President Li Kangju and his delegation. Accompanied by Wu Min and relevant responsible persons, Li Kangju’s delegation visited the School of Computer and Software Engineering (School of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence), the Double Innovation Center Exhibition Hall, the Industrial-grade 3D Printing Laboratory, the RM Training Ground, and the Flexible Intelligent Manufacturing Production Line of Anhui Institute of Information Technology. They conducted on-site inspections of the university’s achievements in educational reform, discipline competitions, innovation and entrepreneurship achievement transformation, and smart campus construction. After the visit, the two sides held in-depth discussions and exchanges at a symposium.
At the symposium, Wu Min extended a warm welcome to Li Kangju and his delegation. He detailed the university’s development path and achievements in educational reform in recent years, focusing on key points such as the setting of enterprise internship and practice courses, the three-tier progressive “pyramid-style” innovation and entrepreneurship education system, “4L4D+Cx”project-based teaching, and the integration of patents with innovation education. Li Kangju stated that Anhui Institute of Information Technology has a clear educational philosophy, a definite direction, and remarkable effects. Its successful experience in digital transformation has provided valuable reference for Shenyang Institute of Technology. He hoped that this exchange would serve as a starting point to further strengthen communication and exchanges between the two universities, leverage the advantages of digital transformation, enhance smart campus construction, and jointly achieve fruitful results.
As a leading enterprise in China’s artificial intelligence field, iFLYTEK Co., Ltd. was an important stop of this research tour. On June 11th, Li Kangju’s delegation visited the headquarters of iFLYTEK. Accompanied by Hu Jiangyuan, Vice President of the Higher Education Customer Group of iFLYTEK, and relevant company officials, they focused on visiting the iFLYTEK Artificial Intelligence Exhibition Hall, gaining a detailed understanding of the latest R&D achievements and wide application scenarios of iFLYTEK in core technical fields such as intelligent voice, natural language processing, smart education, and smart cities.
Subsequently, the two sides held a symposium. Hu Jiangyuan introduced the company’s strategic layout and future plans in the AI education sector, as well as how to promote changes in the education industry through technological innovation. Relevant personnel from iFLYTEK delivered a report titled “Artificial Intelligence Empowers the Digital Transformation and High-quality Development of Higher Education”. The two sides had constructive technical exchanges and discussions on future cooperation directions regarding key issues such as how artificial intelligence technology can deeply empower smart campus construction and improve the quality of talent cultivation. Li Kangju spoke highly of iFLYTEK’s strong technical strength and innovative spirit. He stated that Shenyang Institute of Technology has always taken empowering education with cutting-edge technology as its core development strategy, especially in the field of artificial intelligence. The university is committed to cultivating high-quality applied talents who meet the development needs of the intelligent era. As a leading enterprise in China’s artificial intelligence industry, iFLYTEK has provided important ideas for the digital transformation of our university’s education.
This intensive research and exchange trip to Anhui not only strengthened the ties between our university and brother institutions as well as leading technology enterprises but also broadened the vision and clarified the direction for our university to deepen the innovation of industry-education integration models and expand high-level university-enterprise cooperation. The university will carefully sort out and summarize the research results, actively absorb and learn from advanced experience, strive to promote the implementation of relevant cooperation intentions, continuously improve the quality of applied talent cultivation and the ability to serve local economic and social development, and lay a more solid foundation for building a distinctive applied university.
