Lu Guibin expressed warm welcome to President Li Kangju and his delegation, and highly praised SIT's achievements in applied talent cultivation and school-enterprise collaborative education. He stated that Nanjing University of Science and Technology upholds the educational philosophy of "People-Oriented, Virtue, and Erudition," precisely aligning with national strategic needs to cultivate innovative and high-quality talents. He hoped that both sides could carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as open education, sharing of high-quality educational resources, and scientific research project collaboration.
During the exchange, Li Kangju briefly introduced our school's fruitful achievements in the construction of modern industrial colleges, industry-education integration, and school-enterprise joint cultivation of high-quality applied talents, while reviewing the cooperation history between the two schools in recent years. Since the visit of the School of Economics and Management of Nanjing University of Science and Technology to our school in July 2024, both sides have achieved cooperation results in the fields of industry-education integration and joint scientific research. Li Kangju emphasized that the purpose of this visit was to further leverage the advantages of the School of Mechanical Engineering of Nanjing University of Science and Technology in national defense science and technology, intelligent manufacturing, and other disciplines, combining the practical experience of Shenyang Institute of Technology in the construction of industrial colleges, to promote the exchange of teaching resources, sharing of scientific research platforms, and innovation in continuing education projects. Dean Chen Longmiao of the School of Mechanical Engineering of Nanjing University of Science and Technology introduced in detail the school's abundant faculty strength, strong scientific research capabilities, and the development of its distinctive majors. He hoped that in the future, the two schools can further deepen cooperation, realize in-depth collaboration between northern and southern universities in the field of mechanical engineering, open up new pathways for talent cultivation and scientific research innovation, and cultivate more composite elite talents for the intelligent manufacturing industry.
