On March 21st, Mr. Chen Long'en, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology North Bangkok (KMITNB), visited SIT. Vice President Xu Ying warmly welcomed Mr. Chen. Both sides conducted a discussion on topics including joint talent cultivation, teacher-student exchanges, and overseas internships, and reached a consensus on cooperation.
Vice President Xu Ying expressed her warm welcome to Mr. Chen and introduced in detail our university's innovative practices and achievements in teacher-student exchanges, joint talent cultivation, collaborative scientific research, as well as talent cultivation and industry-education integration. She emphasized that adhering to the strategy of open education and strengthening international exchanges and cooperation are important directions for the future development of our university. She hoped that both sides could take this exchange as an opportunity to jointly build an international education exchange and cooperation platform with KMITNB, achieving complementary advantages.
Mr. Chen highly praised our university's fruitful achievements in industry-education integration. He expressed that through this exchange, he deeply felt Shenyang Institute of Technology's determination and efforts in international education, as well as its rich experience and strong strength in international education. He hoped that both sides could continue to cooperate in the fields of teacher-student exchanges, joint scientific research, and overseas internships, enhancing the international vision and cross-cultural communication skills of teachers and students from both sides, and looking forward to deepening cooperation and exchanges in more fields.
During the discussion, both sides conducted detailed discussions on cooperation matters such as jointly building a master's joint cultivation center, short-term exchange visits for exchange students, and overseas internships. The Thai side plans to send students to our university to carry out short-term exchange activities relying on our university's modern industry colleges, enhancing students' practical abilities. After sufficient communication, both sides reached a consensus and will steadily promote various cooperation projects in the future, jointly promoting in-depth cooperation and development in the field of education.
During his visit, Mr. Chen toured our university's Huawei-Shenyang Institute of Technology Modern Industry College, Advanced Manufacturing Center, Kuka College, Shenyang Institute of Technology-Midea Digital Lighthouse College, Rockwell Automation College, InnoCentive Center of Inspur Industrial Internet College, Huazhong Numerical Control College, and Preschool Education College Practical Teaching Center.
