On March 20th, in order to deepen the integration of industry and education and promote the strategy of innovation-driven development, our school specially invited Liu Han, a training lecturer from Huawei Global Training Center, to deliver a technology frontier lecture themed "Future Communications - The Future Outlook of 5.5G and 6G". This lecture attracted nearly a thousand students to participate, and the atmosphere was warm, fully demonstrating the high level of interest and enthusiasm of our students in exploring cutting-edge technology. This event was hosted by Vice Chancellor Zhou Yongchang.
The lecture focused on introducing passive Internet of Things and communication-sensing integration technology, communication and environmental sensing functions, as well as application scenarios such as intelligent driving and security monitoring; it provided a detailed explanation of how 5.5G can help drones achieve wider coverage, more precise control, and more stable data transmission, thereby promoting the development of industries such as logistics and distribution, surveying and mapping inspections, and low-altitude economy; it also looked ahead to the development direction of 6G, highlighting the current status of terahertz communication and the technical progress of satellite communication, and how low-orbit satellites are building a globally covered communication network to solve communication challenges in remote areas and facilitate global information interconnection.
During the interactive session, students actively asked questions and engaged in in-depth exchanges on technical details and application prospects. After the lecture, students expressed that they had gained a lot, not only broadening their professional horizons but also feeling confident about the future development of the communications field. This lecture opened a door for students of Shenyang Institute of Technology to the world of future communications, inspiring them to continuously explore and move forward on the path of technological innovation.
This lecture was not only a feast of technology but also a window to the future. The school is focusing on building an ecosystem of "deeply integrated industry and education, collaborative innovation between schools and enterprises" to lay the foundation for cultivating talents who can adapt to technological changes and inject new momentum into cultivating scientific and technological talents with global competitiveness.
