On March 18, 2025, the Midea Group Skill Talent School Enterprise Cooperation Exchange Conference and the unveiling ceremony of Kuka College were held in Shunde, Guangdong. This conference is hosted by Midea Group and co organized by the National Robot Industry Education Integration Community. With the theme of "New Era of Skills, Cooperation Wins the Future", it attracted representatives from 57 partner universities, industry leaders, and the Industry Education Integration Community. Shenyang Institute of Technology, as a core strategic partner of Midea Group, was invited to attend. President Li Kangju shared the experience of school enterprise cooperation at the roundtable forum and won the "Industry Education Integration Demonstration Award", demonstrating our university's benchmark position in the field of intelligent manufacturing talent cultivation.
At the meeting, Zhao Pengyu, the head of human resources at Midea Group, stated that the group has established deep cooperation with 83 universities across the country. In the future, with Kuka College as the hub, the group will open up intelligent training platforms, dual teacher curriculum systems, and industry certification resources to accelerate the integration of industry and education. Chen Feng, Director of HRBP at KUKA China, provided a detailed introduction to KUKA College's global experience and school enterprise cooperation model, emphasizing the promotion of ecosystem construction through course co construction, teacher training, and other means. Song Yuhong, Secretary General of the National Robot Industry Education Integration Community, pointed out that the current robot industry is facing a talent gap problem, and in 2025, the focus will be on promoting the development of school enterprise joint teaching materials and teacher training. Chen Hong, the Minister of Education Industry of KUKA China, showcased the achievements of the "New Craftsman Star Plan" and proposed cooperation directions such as joint development of new textbooks with universities.
At the roundtable forum, our school president Li Kangju shared the content and achievements of our school enterprise cooperation with KUKA China and Meiyun Zhishu, with a focus on how our school's "KUKA Authorized Industrial Robot College" can help enterprises expand overseas business, introduce enterprise projects into schools, and carry out "professional+language" education and teaching reforms. At the same time, our school has won the 2025 Midea Group Talent Training School Enterprise Cooperation "Industry Education Integration Demonstration Award" for its outstanding contributions in school enterprise cooperation. Students such as Li Jinlong and Hu Yihao have been awarded the 2024 KUKA New Craftsman Star for their outstanding performance.
This conference is not only a concentrated display of the achievements of industry education integration, but also an important milestone for China's intelligent manufacturing talent cultivation to move towards a new level. Our school's deep cooperation with Midea Group not only provides the "Shenyang Engineering Plan" for industrial upgrading, but also empowers high-quality regional economic development with talent, becoming a model benchmark for the integration of industry and education.
