On November 15th, our university jointly organized the 3rd Shenyang Institute of Technology Russia Friendship College Vocational Skills Friendship Competition with St. Petersburg State University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences in the Primorsky Krai, the Russian Kuzbass State Technical University, and the Amur Komsomolskaya State University in Russia.
At the opening ceremony, school leaders highly recognized the achievements of friendly exchanges and deepening cooperation between schools, and looked forward to future inter school cooperation. Everyone expressed that the vocational skills friendly competition is an important platform for communication and cooperation between Chinese and Russian universities. Both China and Russia attach great importance to the development of vocational education and are committed to cultivating high-quality applied talents. This competition is not only a comprehensive review of students' practical skills, but also a concrete practice of exchange and cooperation between universities in China and Russia. Through such competitions, teachers and students from both sides can break through geographical limitations, delve into each other's models, teaching methods, and practical experience in vocational skill development, learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses, and jointly improve the quality of talent cultivation.
The competition adopts a combination of online and offline methods, and includes five competitions: Industrial Product Digital Design Competition, Electronic Product Design Competition, Industrial Robot Virtual Simulation Competition, Dynamic Web Page Production Skills Competition, and Market Research Design Competition. The students actively prepared for the competition, and their entries fully demonstrated excellent learning outcomes.
Our school adheres to the open school running strategy, actively responds to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative, and carries out exchanges and cooperation with many universities in countries along the "the Belt and Road". Vocational skills friendly matches are an effective means of reviewing students' vocational skills and teachers' teaching achievements, which can further stimulate students' learning motivation and enhance their practical abilities. The Friendship Competition of Vocational Skills for Friendly Universities has been held for three times and has become a brand event, which has further consolidated the friendly cooperation between our university and Russian friendly universities, built a platform for students to show and exchange, laid a solid foundation for the future expansion of cooperation fields and strengthening the depth of cooperation between Chinese and Russian universities, and cultivated more and better high-quality applied talents for the construction of the "the Belt and Road".
