On September 23rd, Alexander Shuenkov, President of the Kemerovo State Institute of Culture in Russia, and his delegation visited our university for inspection and exchange. Chairman Wang Zhaobao, vice president Xu Ying, and former president of Dalian Foreign Studies University Professor Sun Yuhua attended the symposium. The two sides discussed cooperation matters related to cultural exchange, teacher-student communication, joint training, and scientific research cooperation, and signed a framework cooperation agreement.
At the symposium, Xu Ying introduced the basic situation of our university's international exchange and cooperation, with a focus on the undergraduate “2+2” joint training program, Sino Russian joint laboratory construction, and student long-term and short-term exchange programs. She stated that the school has established cooperative relationships with multiple enterprises, and has achieved fruitful results in school enterprise cooperation and the integration of industry and education. Among them, the school and Wuhan Huazhong Numerical Control Co., Ltd. jointly set up the "the Belt and Road" order class to train the industry’s scarce “professional+Russian” compound high-quality applied talents, carry out services and technical support for the countries along the “the Belt and Road”, and help Liaoning build an open cooperation hub in Northeast Asia. Our school has also actively carried out teacher-student exchanges with many universities in countries along the “the Belt and Road”, such as the Post Baikal National University, with fruitful results.
Alexander Shuenkov expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception of our university, fully affirmed the achievements of our university in international cooperation, talent cultivation, laboratory construction, scientific research and other aspects, and comprehensively introduced the basic situation of the joint training of Kemerovo State Cultural Institute and the cooperation projects with domestic universities. He hopes that both sides can fully leverage their own advantages, work together and tackle challenges, continuously strengthen the characteristics of education, achieve complementary advantages, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the two schools.
In the future, both parties will work together to promote the implementation of relevant cooperation projects. Both sides will focus on strengthening exchanges and cooperation between teachers and students, and promote academic and cultural exchanges between teachers and students of the two schools through forms such as student exchange, short-term visits, and joint training. At the same time, both sides will actively explore new models of joint talent cultivation, jointly cultivating high-quality talents with international perspectives and cross-cultural communication abilities.
