During the summer vacation, our school sent three groups of faculty and students to conduct international study visits at Novosibirsk State Technical University, Far Eastern State Agricultural University, and Pacific National University in Russia.
During the visits, participants explored the three universities as well as local cultural sites including the Local History Museum, the Communications Museum, and the Paleontological Museum. They gained insights into the universities’ backgrounds and Russian history and culture. The students had hands-on experiences in courses such as Russian language, electrical engineering, history, and culture, as well as practical visits to a nursery and a dairy farm. They engaged in various cultural activities including social gatherings, exchange meetings, and competitive events with Russian faculty and students, which significantly enhanced their spoken Russian skills.
The universities placed great importance on this study visit and prepared extensively, designing a rich array of activities including campus tours, academic learning, and cultural experiences. Previously, all three universities had signed cooperation agreements with our school, emphasizing institutional innovation, resource integration, mutual complementarity, and win-win cooperation. This collaboration focuses on joint student training, faculty exchanges, and research cooperation. The study visit not only strengthened the friendship between our school and the three universities but also showcased the spirit of our students.
