On August 7, President Li Kangju and Vice President Xu Ying warmly received Vice President Sorokin Nikolai Yuriyevich of Pacific National University of Russia and Assistant to the President Kuleshova Tatiana Alexandrovna and their delegation. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the preparations for the upcoming Sino-Russian High-level Presidents’ Forum, as well as cooperation in talent cultivation, teacher-student exchanges, and scientific research.
On behalf of the university, Li Kangju extended a warm welcome to the arrival of Sorokin Nikolai Yuriyevich and his delegation. He stated that the Sino-Russian High-level Presidents’ Forum is a significant initiative to promote cooperation between China and Russia at the local level and a practical activity for our province’s opening up to the outside world. It will undoubtedly play a positive role in promoting and consolidating comprehensive cooperation between Chinese and Russian universities. All departments of our university will work together and go all out to prepare for the Sino-Russian High-level Presidents’ Forum, providing strong support for its successful hosting. He expressed his hope that the two universities can leverage their respective advantages to conduct in-depth cooperation, continuously enhancing their educational standards and the quality of talent cultivation. He is full of confidence and anticipation for the cooperation prospects between the two universities.
Sorokin Nikolai Yuriyevich expressed his heartfelt thanks for the warm reception extended by our university and highly praised our university’s advanced laboratories and practical teaching centers, its teaching characteristics that integrate theory with practice, and the fruitful achievements in practical teaching. He looks forward to the upcoming Sino-Russian High-level Presidents’ Forum and summer camp activities jointly organized by the two universities, which he believes will deepen mutual understanding between the two universities and lay the foundation for the “2+2” joint training program. He hopes that the two universities will work together, tackle challenges jointly, achieve complementary advantages, and push international educational cooperation to a new level.
Xu Ying introduced the basic situation of our university and the achievements made in international exchange and cooperation, reviewed the cooperation between the two universities, and provided a detailed introduction to the preparations for the upcoming Sino-Russian High-level Presidents’ Forum. She noted that all preparations are being vigorously carried forward. Both sides exchanged views on the preparations for the forum, refined related work, and clarified issues such as invitees, sub-forums, and time nodes for various sessions. They also conducted in-depth exchanges on talent joint training and teacher-student exchange programs.
During their visit, Sorokin Nikolai Yuriyevich and his delegation toured our university’s i5 Intelligent Manufacturing Practical Teaching Center, International Education College, Joint Innovation Center of Inspur Industrial Internet Academy, Rockwell Automation Academy, Kuka Academy, and Practical Teaching Center of the Preschool Education College.
