On February 22, 2022, the university competition evaluation and management system research working group of the Society of Higher Education of China released the analysis report of 2021 National College Students' Competition. Our university ranked No. 6 in the list of “Private and Independent Colleges” College Students’ Competition in 2017-2021 (No. 1 in Liaoning Province), Ranked 41st in the 2017-2021 National Undergraduate Competition of Newly-built Universities (No.1 in Liaoning Province).
The evaluation of this round of college students’ competition follows the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness, adheres to the working idea of “quality-oriented and cautious promotion”, and is calculated according to the relevant data of award-winning contribution, organizational contribution and research contribution. Among them, if the number of awards of a single school exceeds 20 in a single competition, the top 20 will be scored according to the award level from high to low.
In recent years, our university has vigorously implemented innovation and entrepreneurship education, constructed the “1344” innovation and entrepreneurship education system, promoted the deep integration with professional education, and established more than 100 college students’ innovation teams and a group of students’ extracurricular interest groups. The number of students participating in college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship activities every year exceeds one third of the total number of students. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, our school will continue to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship education, improve the “1344” innovation and entrepreneurship education system, implement the education concept of “student-centered development”, establish a long-term mechanism to integrate innovation and entrepreneurship education into the whole process of talent training, promote teaching reform with innovation and entrepreneurship education system, and realize deep integration with the whole process of talent training, strive to cultivate more outstanding innovative talents with certain pioneering spirit and innovation ability, high professional quality and strong practical ability.
