On November 28th, the final of the “Huawei Cup” ICT competition for undergraduates in general colleges and universities in Liaoning Province was held in our school. The competition was hosted by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education and Liaoning Provincial Department of Finance, undertaken by Shenyang Institute of Technology, and co-organized by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Liaoning Representative Office and Shenzhen Xunfang Technology Co., Ltd.. Yang Jinguo from Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Liaoning Representative Office, Wang Helai, Northeast Regional Director of Shenzhen Xunfang Technology Co., Ltd., Liu Huixin, Dean of School of Information and Control in SIT, relevant universities, specially-invited judges from some companies, teachers and students of participating universities attended the opening ceremony of the competition. The ceremony was presided over by Shang Junping, Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
As the first “Huawei Cup” ICT competition for college students in Liaoning Province, the event has received great attention from schools. The competition has lasted four months since its inception and has received positive responses from many universities in the province. Since August, our school has organized more than 20 participating universities to carry out training on Huawei’s IoT system. Colleges and universities have registered for more than 130 groups to participate in the competition. After strict and detailed screening, more than 60 groups were finally selected to enter the finals for on-site defense.
The organizing committee has made full preparations before the competition, and made careful arrangements in terms of competition rules, equipment, venue arrangements, competition procedures, scheduling plans, etc., to ensure the fair and orderly progress of the competition.
The “Huawei Cup” ICT competition for undergraduates in general colleges and universities in Liaoning Province aims to promote the reform of the curriculum system and content of information subjects in Colleges and Universities.
