Under the theme “Promoting the Spirit of Educators and Fostering a Culture of Respect for Teachers and Education,” the event honored faculty and staff for their outstanding dedication and commitment, recognized their achievements in fulfilling the mission of education in the new era, and explored new pathways for the university’s high-quality development. Wang Zhaobao, Chairman of the Board, and Hu Xiaomei, Secretary of the University Party Committee, attended the ceremony and delivered remarks. Li Kangju, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee and President, and Vice Presidents Shi Wei, Liu Aiqiu, Xu Ying, and Zhou Yongchang also attended. All mid-level university administrators and faculty representatives were present.

He emphasized that industry–education integration is essential to the university’s high-quality development. He called for the continued introduction of resources from leading enterprises and the establishment of industrial colleges, with industrial data, real-world business scenarios, and workplace requirements incorporated into classroom teaching. This approach aims to build a talent development model in which curricula support job readiness and industry needs guide employment outcomes.He also urged faculty members to embrace artificial intelligence, strengthen their digital literacy, and actively participate in AI agent development and maintenance, as well as the integration of industrial data into AI systems. He called for teaching reform and encouraged students to use AI to learn about AI, thereby enhancing their practical skills and competitiveness in the job market. The university will also open up its industry–education integration resources to support faculty members in delivering professional training and technical services to society.
He called on the entire university community to remain alert to challenges, take ownership of tasks through to completion, demonstrate initiative and accountability, and strive for excellence. He encouraged faculty and staff to use AI as a tool and industry as a practical context to continuously enhance their individual capabilities and create greater value for society.He further reminded faculty members to remain committed to the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education and cultivating talent for the Party and the country, uphold the spirit of educators, maintain high standards of professional ethics and conduct, and strengthen their professional competence, working together to advance the university’s high-quality development.
On behalf of the university’s Party and administrative leadership, Hu Xiaomei congratulated the 46 outstanding collectives and 402 individuals recognized at the ceremony.She called on all faculty and staff to keep in mind the care and expectations that General Secretary Xi Jinping has expressed for teachers nationwide, carry forward the spirit of educators, uphold high standards of professional ethics and conduct, and continuously strengthen their professional competence. She also urged them to remain committed to the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education and cultivating talent for the Party and the country, fulfill the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and strive to cultivate well-rounded socialist builders and successors with strong moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor skills.
