To remember the great victory and pay tribute to the most adorable people, on April 22nd, when the remains of the 13th batch of Chinese People's Volunteers martyrs in South Korea returned to the motherland, our institute organized teachers and students to watch the special ideological and political education program "Heroes, Never Fade" to carry forward the great spirit of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea. All teachers and students watched the live broadcast through the network platform and jointly received a profound ideological cleansing and spiritual tempering.

This ideological and political education class was jointly planned and produced by the Publicity Department of the Provincial Committee, the Provincial Committee of the Education Work Committee, the Provincial Committee of the Historical Research Office of the Communist Party of China and other departments. It adopts a chapter-based structure and invites representatives such as Li Weibo, a veteran of the Chinese People's Volunteers, Huang Yongjun, the nephew of the martyr Huang Jiguang and a representative of the families of heroes, Jin Hai, the father of Jin Chenglong, a "Model of the Times in Liaoning" and a "New Era Lei Feng", as well as four generations of interpreters from the Dandong Memorial Hall of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea and interpreters from the Shenyang Memorial Hall of the Martyrs of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea. Through various artistic forms such as scene reproduction, oral history and guest interviews, it vividly recreates the magnificent picture of that fiery period and profoundly interprets the contemporary connotation of the great spirit of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea.

Both teachers and students were deeply moved and responded enthusiastically. Zhang Yuqi, a second-year student from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, shared, “This lesson touched me deeply. Listening to stories of love for family and country amidst the flames of war, and reflecting on the fearless commitment of the heroes of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, I truly feel that no matter how time passes, we must never forget those brave martyrs who defended our nation’s dignity and brought us peace. As a university student in this new era, I will keep history firmly in mind and turn this spirit into concrete actions—studying diligently and devoting myself to serving our motherland.”

Xu Shiyu, a second-year student from the School of Life Engineering, said, “We must remember history so that the sacrifices of these martyrs are not in vain. Let us tell these heroes that the motherland and the people will never forget them, and that together we will forever protect this beloved land they held so dear. As university students in Liaoning, we must carry forward this revolutionary legacy, shine in our everyday studies and lives, and strive to be young people worthy of our times.”

Our institute places great importance on this event and regards it as a vivid teaching resource for further advancing ideological and political education. Going forward, we will take this event as an opportunity to forge strong character through the revolutionary spirit and nurture students with the heroic stories, thereby providing a solid ideological foundation and powerful spiritual impetus for the revitalization and development of Liaoning Province in the new era.
