Recently, the third batch of high-quality industry-education collaborative talent cultivation projects in Liaoning Province was officially announced, and three projects applied by our school, namely "Curriculum Reform and Practical Training Construction Based on Huawei DatacomStar", "Practical Reform of Surveying and Mapping Engineering Curriculum System in the Digital and Intelligent Era", and "Teacher Training and Teaching Innovation Practice for New Surveying and Mapping Technologies", were successfully approved. This achievement fully demonstrates the solid progress and remarkable effectiveness of our school in deepening industry-education integration and promoting educational and teaching reforms.
The three projects approved this time closely align with cutting-edge industry technologies and regional economic development needs, representing a robust practice of the school's initiative to serve the digital transformation of education. Among them, the project "Curriculum Reform and Training Construction Based on Huawei DatacomStar", collaboratively undertaken by the school and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., introduces Huawei's data communication training system, establishes an integrated practice platform encompassing "teaching, simulation, practice, and assessment", and achieves precise alignment between teaching content and Huawei's certification system. The entire teaching team for this project has obtained Huawei certification, with multiple teachers being awarded the title of "Gold Seed Teacher", thus opening up a career development pathway to the ICT industry for over a thousand students majoring in computer science, communication, and other related fields.
Two projects jointly promoted by the school and Guangzhou South Surveying and Mapping Technology Co., Ltd. rely on the Shenzhou-South Surveying and Mapping Beidou Spatio-temporal Information Industry College to reconstruct and upgrade the surveying and mapping engineering curriculum system. The projects integrate cutting-edge technologies such as low-altitude economy, satellite navigation, real-scene 3D, and the metaverse, as well as real projects from enterprises, into course teaching to promote the digital and intelligent transformation of professional teaching. At the same time, the projects focus on core technologies of enterprises such as "metaverse + Beidou and low-altitude economy + remote sensing", and enhance teachers' practical abilities through systematic and hierarchical training, establishing a virtuous cycle of "promoting teaching through training, promoting learning through teaching, and promoting production through research".
The successful approval of this project marks another fruitful outcome of the school's commitment to an application-oriented educational approach and its deep integration of industry and education. It signifies that the school's new educational ecosystem, which is guided by industry needs, utilizes deep collaboration between schools and enterprises, and aims to cultivate high-quality applied talents, is accelerating. In the future, the school will leverage this approved high-quality industry-education cooperation project as a key opportunity to further expand the breadth and depth of cooperation with industry leaders, promote the transformation and upgrading of "AI+" majors, and deepen the construction of digital and intelligent professional clusters. The school will strive to establish the Industry College as an important hub for regional technological innovation and talent supply, continuously contributing exceptional engineering talents who can master new technologies, adapt to new industries, and lead the new future for Liaoning's revitalization and national development.
