On May 21, the 2024 summing up and sharing meeting and 2025 mobilization meeting of "exploring the world and seeing the future" international study visits were held in the international report hall to comprehensively summarize the fruitful results of the 2024 international study visits and look forward to the new journey of International Education in the new year. In the 2024-2025 academic year, our school successfully sent eight visiting groups to five overseas universities to carry out exchanges. A total of 131 teachers and students gathered from various colleges to start the overseas learning journey. President Li Kangju and vice president Zhou Yongchang attended the meeting. Shi Jia, director of the Student Affairs Office, Zhang Lili, Dean of College of International Education, more than 300 teachers and students from the order class and the "2+2" project participated in the activity.
Li Kangju spoke highly of the outstanding achievements of the international study visit project in 2024, and fully affirmed the positive exploration spirit and good spirit of the teachers and students during the study visit. At the same time, he issued a call to all teachers and students, hoping that everyone would seize the precious opportunity of international study visits, bravely go abroad, broaden their horizons in the blending of different cultures, improve their cross-cultural communication ability, and become talents of the new era with international competitiveness.
Zhou Yongchang presented certificates to the students who won the prize in the 2024 "impression of Russia" photography competition. The exquisite photographic works not only show the local conditions and customs of Russia, but also become a vivid witness of the cultural exchanges between China and Russia.
In the experience sharing session, the representatives of teachers and students shared their valuable experience and profound insights in international study visits. Tian Yu, a teacher of College of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, as a teacher representative of the summer camp of the Novosibirsk State University of technology, described in detail his experience of participating in the Sino-Russian joint teaching project during his visit. She deeply felt the differences in educational concepts and teaching methods between China and Russia. This cultural collision not only gave her new thinking on student work, but also brought a lot of inspiration for future work. When sharing the summer camp experience of Binhai National Agricultural Technology University, Zhi Chunyang, a teacher of College of Life Engineering, especially mentioned the exchange with Russian professors in the field of agricultural scientific research. This not only enabled him to open up scientific research ideas, but also realized the strong impact of cultural differences, expanded his international vision, and provided new ideas for future international cooperative research. Liao Zixi, a student from College of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Li Jiakuo, a student from College of Information and Control, Zheng Qiyan, a student from College of Energy and Water Conservancy, and Liu Yifan, a student from College of Economics and Management, and Sun Zhansheng, were student representatives of the winter camp at the Thaksin University of Science and Technology, North Bangkok, Thailand, the winter camp at the Kyoto University of Information and Technology in Japan, and the summer camp at the Pacific National University, respectively. They came to the stage to share their profound feelings on international visits. From the harvest of course learning, the surprise of cultural experience to the establishment of international friendship, they have fully demonstrated the rich connotation and great value of international study visits.
The successful holding of this event not only built a platform for teachers and students to exchange experience in international study visits, but also stimulated the enthusiasm of teachers and students to participate in international study visits, laying a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of international study visits in 2025. In 2025, our school will organize teachers and students to continue to visit Russia, South Korea, Thailand, Japan and Spain for international study, broaden international vision, deepen cross-cultural understanding, jointly write a new chapter of Sino-foreign cultural exchanges, and cultivate more high-quality talents with global vision and international competitiveness.
