Recently, the Science Research and Development Center for Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education released good news that the “Case Report on the Exhibition of Red Classic Theme Musical Pieces at Shenyang Institute of Technology” submitted by SIT newspaper has been successfully selected for the “Annual Development Report on Red Cultural Resources Education in Colleges and Universities (2023)”. This achievement not only demonstrated SIT’s active exploration and significant achievements in the field of red culture education, but also provided a practical example for universities across the country to learn from.
The exhibition of segments from the classic red themed musicals at Shenyang Institute of Technology, using four classic red musical plays such as “Mr. Dazhao” as carriers, focused on the touching stories of revolutionary martyrs and heroic models, and aimed to integrate the art of musicals with red culture. Through immersive and experiential education, it guided students to deeply understand the great revolutionary spirit and profound historical and cultural connotations contained in red culture. In the form of musicals that were popular among young people, it vividly presented the classic red stories on stage, promoted the revolutionary spirit, inherited the red genes, actively promoted the cultivation of red cultural resources and the construction of “ideological and political courses” in universities, and deeply practiced the deep integration of red cultural resource cultivation and campus cultural construction in universities.
For a long time, SIT has attached great importance to the excavation and utilization of red cultural resources, adhering to the important discourse of General Secretary Xi Jinping on promoting red culture and inheriting red genes as guidance, and actively exploring new paths for educating people with red culture.
