On April 14th, Wu Binru, President of Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University, and a delegation of seven people visited SIT for inspection and exchange on topics such as applied talent cultivation, industry education integration innovation, and international cooperation in running schools. Chairman Wang Zhaobao and Vice President Xu Ying warmly received Wu Binru and his delegation.
At the symposium, Wang Zhaobao, on behalf of the school, warmly welcomed the arrival of Wu Binru and his delegation. He pointed out that Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University, as one of the first batch of undergraduate vocational education pilot universities in China and the only one in Fujian Province, has been committed to cultivating high-level technical and skilled talents for the region. By building a joint innovation industry college with Huawei, it not only injects strong impetus into ICT talent cultivation and industrial innovation development, but also provides a replicable and promotable new model for the construction of modern industry colleges. Both universities are application-oriented institutions, shouldering similar missions in deepening the integration of industry and education and serving regional economic development. He hopes that this inspection and exchange will serve as an opportunity for both sides to further deepen inter school interaction at multiple levels and in multiple fields. Adhering to the concept of “resonance on the same frequency and complementary advantages”, he will innovate cooperation mechanisms, expand linkage dimensions, promote pragmatic cooperation between the two sides, and work together to create a new situation of high-quality development for both sides.
Wu Binru highly praised the development and construction achievements of SIT. She pointed out that Shenyang Institute of Technology is deeply cultivating applied education with a precise strategic layout, closely aligning with the needs of regional economic transformation and upgrading in disciplinary and professional construction, and making great efforts to build an innovative practice platform that integrates teaching, practical training, and scientific research. It has established a long-term mechanism for collaborative education between industry and education, and has distinctive characteristics of applied education. She stated that although SIT and Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University are thousands of miles apart, they have always adhered to a common educational philosophy. She hopes that in the future, the two universities can seize the opportunity of the country’s accelerated promotion of the integration of industry and education, conduct in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the construction of industrial colleges, talent cultivation, international cooperation in running schools, and cultivate more high-quality applied talents that meet the national strategic needs.
Before the symposium, Wu Binru and his delegation visited intelligent manufacturing practice teaching center, Huawei Shenyang Institute of Modern Industry, Intelligent High-speed Five Axis Practice Base, Rockwell Practice Teaching Center, Inspur Industrial Internet College Joint Innovation Center, SIT-Midea Digital Lighthouse Academy, SIT-Siemens Advanced Automation Technology Joint Demonstration Practice Teaching Center, and Kuka Robot Practice Teaching Center.
