On January 12, the Second Council Meeting of the Second Session of the Sixth Council of the Chinese Vocational and Technical Education Society was held in Beijing. Lu Xin, President of the Society and former Vice Minister of Education, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

During the Second Council Meeting of the Second Session of the Sixth Council of the Chinese Vocational and Technical Education Society, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. hosted the "Intelligent Surge: Development Exchange for New Types of Workers," inviting experts, scholars, industry leaders, and representatives from vocational education institutions to jointly explore new models and paths for cultivating new types of workers, as well as analyze opportunities and challenges in the new trend. Principal Li Kangju was invited to attend the event and delivered a report titled "Research on the Cultivation of New Quality Productive Forces in the Era of Digital Intelligence," sharing the practical experience of industry-education integration, which was well-received by the leaders, experts, scholars, and university teachers in attendance.

In his report, Li Kangju elaborated on the new requirements of the digital intelligence era for higher education, the school's practices and innovations in conducting school-enterprise cooperation and establishing modern industrial colleges with multiple leading enterprises, as well as the synchronized efforts of both school and enterprise to promote high-quality development. He stated that the school complies with the trend of change and actively cooperates with industry-leading enterprises such as Huawei, Midea, Rockwell Automation, and Kuka to jointly build modern industrial colleges. The school's modern industrial colleges have achieved fruitful results in innovating talent cultivation models, improving the quality of professional development, developing school-enterprise cooperation courses, establishing practical teaching centers, building high-level teaching staff, providing applied and composite talents, and organizing services for scientific and technological innovation. Relying on industrial colleges to serve the national strategy of advancing new-type industrialization and the Liaoning provincial strategy of "Digital Liaoning, Manufacturing Powerhouse," the school focuses on 22 industrial clusters in Liaoning, introduces advanced technologies and equipment from enterprises, establishes a "six commons and five integrations" school-enterprise collaborative education model, forms a modern industrial college council, jointly formulates talent cultivation plans with enterprises, jointly develops courses with enterprises, and cultivates students through "order-based" and "customized" models. Students in order-based classes are in high demand, and graduates achieve high-quality employment.

Li Kangju expressed that in the future, both school and enterprise will further deepen the integration of industry and education, innovate school-enterprise cooperation models, and carry out numerous collaborations in professional development, talent cultivation, teacher training, and other aspects. Both parties will seize the opportunities and challenges of the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, rely on modern industrial colleges, and jointly explore new paths for cultivating digital intelligence talents. Especially in the school-enterprise cooperation with Huawei, both parties will build a joint innovation platform for talent cultivation, fully utilize Huawei's ICT technology curriculum system and training certification system to jointly build an on-campus practical teaching base, and construct a new talent cultivation system centered on students' professional competence and sustainable development ability. Both school and enterprise will continue to deepen cooperation, jointly explore the path of "information technology+" to upgrade traditional majors, actively carry out teacher training, provide support for students' innovation, entrepreneurship, and employment, and build a smart campus to serve the school's construction and development. The school, together with Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio electronics and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., jointly established the "Mozi Workshop of the ICT Industry in Minsk, Belarus" to jointly cultivate talents in the new-generation information technology industry.
