On November 8th, the inauguration ceremony of KUKA College of Shenyang Institute of Technology and the 2024 KUKA Robot School Enterprise Cooperation Conference were held at our university. Our school has jointly established KUKA College with KUKA China, signed a school enterprise cooperation order to cultivate students, innovated the school enterprise cooperation model, promoted the deep integration of industry and education, and jointly cultivated high-quality applied talents that conform to the trend of technological development and meet the requirements of industrial transformation and upgrading. KUKA China has awarded our university the qualification of "KUKA Authorized Industrial Robotics College" and listed it. Gu Yanmin, Vice President and President of Robotics and Automation Division of Midea Group, Xu Guiyou, CEO of KUKA China, Wang Zhiquan, Product Manager of KUKA China, Chen Hong, Minister of Education Industry of KUKA China, Wang Zhaobao, Chairman of the Board of Directors of our university, Hu Xiaomei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, and Li Kangju, President, specially invited Gong Yadong, Secretary General of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Mechanical Majors in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, and representatives of more than 30 well-known enterprises in the intelligent manufacturing industry, such as Industrial Fulian and Lingyun Industrial Co., Ltd., to attend the event.

Wang Zhaobao stated that the wave of digital transformation is sweeping across the world, and education is undergoing unprecedented profound changes. The country needs to accelerate the development of new quality productive forces and deepen the promotion of new industrialization, which requires university teachers to carry forward the spirit of educators, empower teachers with digitalization, and enhance their digital foundation. The school actively responds to the national call, keeps up with the trend of the times, actively promotes school enterprise cooperation, deepens the integration of industry and education, and empowers the development of new quality productive forces. The school has introduced leading industry enterprises such as KUKA China, Huawei, Rockwell, Midea, and Inspur to carry out practical cooperation and create a group of high-level practical teaching centers with advanced technology and equipment. Digital enterprises will be moved to the school, and enterprise standards, courses, and the latest technologies will be introduced to the school to achieve seamless integration with enterprises. Teachers' teaching and research levels will be continuously improved, and students will be fed back. By presenting real enterprise scenarios, students' cognition will be enhanced, practical teaching will be strengthened, and the quality of talent cultivation will be improved. High quality applied talents that meet industry standards and enterprise needs will be cultivated. He stated that this cooperation not only marks a leap in the depth and breadth of cooperation between schools and enterprises, but also a crucial step for our school to explore innovative models of school enterprise cooperation and deepen the integration of industry and education. Gu Yanmin stated that the cooperation between KUKA China and Shenyang Institute of Technology is of high starting point, high level, and high quality. Against the backdrop of the transformation from a manufacturing powerhouse to a manufacturing powerhouse, KUKA China and Shenyang Institute of Technology are rushing in both directions to cultivate new technology talents in intelligent manufacturing. The joint construction of KUKA College in Shenyang Institute of Technology is the fifth college we have established in China, and it is also the largest college with the widest coverage of products and the most applications of new technologies to date. Shenyang Institute of Technology adheres to a market-oriented approach, allowing students to truly apply what they have learned. On the same day, the participants visited the practice teaching center and laboratories of the School of Preschool Education of our school, Shenyang Engineering Kuka College, the Joint Innovation Center of Inspur Industrial Internet College, Huawei Shenyang Engineering Modern Industrial College, Rockwell Automation College and other practice teaching centers and laboratories.
