On June 17th, 2024, the results of the Liaoning Province Advanced Mapping Technology and Product Information Modeling Innovation Competition for College Students were announced. 83 participating students from our university won a total of 4 first prizes, 4 second prizes, and 6 third prizes for the group, as well as 2 first prizes, 14 second prizes, and 27 third prizes for individuals. Their achievements reached a new high compared to previous years.
The Notebook Competition is hosted by the Department of Education and the Department of Finance of Liaoning Province, and organized by Yingkou Institute of Technology. It attracts more than 1700 participants from 40 universities in the province, aiming to accelerate the training of high-quality engineering and technical personnel, cultivate students' craftsmanship spirit, stimulate students' innovation awareness and spirit, continuously showcase the teaching achievements of innovative mapping carriers in various universities, implement the spirit requirements of the Ministry of Education's insistence on "putting the foundation first and promoting the four regressions", and stimulate and promote a large number of outstanding talents for the comprehensive rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and for China's manufacturing to move towards China.
For many years, the school has always adhered to the goal of cultivating applied talents, attached great importance to the cultivation of students' practical abilities, continuously promoted the reform of talent cultivation models and mechanisms, adhered to the principle of "using competitions to promote teaching, learning, and practice", and used teaching team building and teaching content design as entry points. Through innovation and entrepreneurship project simulation training, students have initially constructed innovative and entrepreneurial thinking, abilities, and knowledge systems, continuously improved their innovative spirit and abilities, and strived to cultivate a large number of high-quality applied talents who are brave enough to engage in innovation and entrepreneurship practice.
