On July 1, our school solemnly held a flag-raising ceremony in the stadium to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with the theme of "learning party history, strengthening beliefs, and following the party". Reviewing the party’s struggle history, praising the party’s glorious achievements, and guiding the whole school, teachers and students inherit the red gene, learn the history of the party, know the party's grace, follow the party, and greet the party's centenary with a high-spirited attitude. The school’s party committee secretary Chen Gang, school party committee deputy secretary Li Wenguo, and all party members, teachers and students totaling more than 4,000 people attended the flag-raising ceremony.

Accompanied by passionate music, the members of the national flag class guarded the five-star red flag with full enthusiasm and strode forward. In the solemn sound of the national anthem, the national flag was raised with the sunrise and fluttered in the wind. Student representative, Li Jiadong, Class 2 of Vehicle Engineering Major of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, said in his speech that as young people in the new era growing up under the red flag, we must assume the mission given by the times, remember the past and think about the present, and know where happiness comes. It is not easy. We must continue to carry forward the spirit of the May Fourth Movement and take the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation as our responsibility, live up to the expectations of the party, the people, and the nation's trust, and live up to our great era.

In his speech, Zhou Yongchang, the Minister of Student Affairs, put forward three requirements for the student party members of the school: one is to strengthen the belief in Marxism and to be a young Marxist in the new era; the other is to be good at keeping integrity and innovation, inheriting and carrying forward, and courage to be the first. The spirit of exploration, give full play to the role of pioneer and model, and drive the students around to practice the excellent style of study; the third is to actively practice the school motto of "pursuing excellence, mutual assistance and altruism". Strive to be the "five seeds" of Lei Feng's spirit of "firm belief, willingness to dedication, love and dedication, hard work, and entrepreneurship". Zhou Yongchang called on all students to grasp the present, look to the future, study hard, constantly improve themselves, and work hard to build a modern socialist country in an all-round way.

At the ceremony, Chen Gang led all new development party members to solemnly swear to the bright red party flag. Finally, all teachers and students sang the song "No Communist Party, No New China". The exciting melody echoed on the campus, and the affectionate singing sang the love and blessings of Shen Gong students to the party.
