On July 3, Yin Ming, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Shenyang-Fushun Reform and Innovation Demonstration Zone, visited our school. Shen Jian, Director of the Industrial Development Bureau of Shenyang-Fushun Reform and Innovation Demonstration Zone, and Zhang Tao, Deputy Director participated in the activity, which accompanied by the principal of our school, Li Kangju, and Gong Piguo, the vice-president.

At the symposium, Li Kangju introduced the school's educational philosophy, education model, school’s scale, leading subjects, practice base construction and innovation and entrepreneurship education. He said that our school will actively adapt to the economic and social development needs of the demonstration zone and the Liaoning region, carry out professional construction based on the overall idea of the professional group matching industry chain, try to improve the quality of applied talent training and the ability to serve local economic and social development, and Strive to become a university that contributes to the development of demonstration zones in all directions.

Yin Ming pointed out in his speech that Shenyang Institute of Technology, the only undergraduate college in the demonstration zone, has always adhered to the school orientation, “localization and application”, insisted on running the university in demonstration areas and made SIT-styled contributions to the construction target of the demonstration zone, namely, reaching a higher level in three years, changing dramatically in five years and making a tremendous growth in ten years. Yin Ming said that based on his working experience, he will broaden channels and create conditions for exchanges and cooperation between the school and the demonstration area and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, strive to build a new platform for cooperation between universities and local governments to jointly improve the school’s ability to serve regional economic and social development and innovation-driven development, and work together to create a new model of cooperation between universities and local governments

During the investigation, Yin Ming inspected our school’s intelligent manufacturing training center, robot training center and vehicle training center and other bases, and learned more about the construction of the practice base.
