I.Introduction
Shenyang Institute of Technology is a government sponsored institute of higher learning approved by the National Ministry of Education. It was established by the merger of the Polytechnic School of Shenyang Ligong University and the Science and Technology School of Shenyang Agricultural University. Over the last decade, the Institute has continually applied the concepts of “practice is the core of learning”, energetic exploration into education reforms, and market-oriented principles which have formed a multidisciplinary institute with particular strengths in engineering, administration, economics, art, agriculture and etc. Through years of hard work and perseverance, the Institute has created more than thirty thousand graduates for the nation. As a result of national economic construction and social development, the Institute currently has 16,497 full-time undergraduate students enrolled across six departments: The School of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Information and Control, the School of Arts and Media, the School of Life Science, the School of Energy and Water Conservancy. The institute is located in Shenfu New Town, Fushun, Liaoning Province. With an area of 179 acres and a three hundred thousand square meter building area, the Institute has two modern libraries, nine teaching buildings, eight comprehensive experiment centers, two indoor stadiums, four cafeterias and a student cultural and sports center. Both double-room and single room are available for international students. The campus enjoys convenient transportation and is surrounded by peaceful scenery with well-equipped facilities.

II. An Introduction to Majors
1. Accounting
Cultivating Objectives: Acquiring basic theories and knowledge of management, economics and accounting. Students will acquire basic techniques, including financial accounting and analysis, financial management, investment and financing, auditing and taxation. Students will be innovative, practical and advanced applied talents who will be qualified in the field of high-level accounting professions.
Basic Courses: Management, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Management Information System, Statistics, Marketing, Economic Law, Intermediate Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Cost Accounting, Accounting Computerization, Theories and Practice of Auditing, Intensive Training of Accounting, Training Course of Cost Accounting, and the Application of Accounting Software.
2.Finance
Cultivating Objectives: Students will acquire basic knowledge of economics and finance. Students are trained to be innovative, practical and advanced applied talents who will be qualified in the field of high - level financial professions, such as banking, insurance, security and investment.
Basic Courses: College English, Calculus, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Public Finance, International Finance, Security Investments, Insurance, Operation and Management of Commercial Banks, Training Course of Foreign Exchanges Trading Simulation,Training Course of Security Investments and Graduation Project.
3.International Economy and Trade
Cultivating Objectives: Students will acquire basic knowledge of economics and international trade, and will be capable of mastering basic skills including international trade rules and customs, international trade practice and custom clearance practice. Students are trained to be innovative, practical and advanced applied talents who will be qualified in the field of high -level international trade professions, such as foreign trade companies or custom clearance.
Basic Courses: College English, Calculus, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Finance, Theories of International Trade, Practice of International Trade, Practical English in Foreign Trade, International Settlement, International Marketing, International Finance, Intensive Practice of Trade, and Graduation Dissertation.
4. Visual Communication Design
Cultivating Objectives: Students will acquire primary knowledge of this major with professional skills and qualities. Students will be adept in utilizing colors, modeling performance and expressing via static and dynamic media. Students will also be qualified in brand image design, website and UI interface design, packaging design, brand planning and marketing, design and arrangement of all kinds of advertisements. Students are trained to be innovative, practical and advanced applied talents who will be qualified in the field of relevant professions.
Basic Courses: College English, Design Sketch, Construction Foundation, Computer-aided Design and Production, Format Design, Web Design, Book Binding and Design, Packaging Design and Modern Design and Representation.
III. Other Information
1.Admission to the University
(1) Applicants for Undergraduates:
Applicants must meet the requirements that ages under 35 years old with senior high school diploma and above or with equivalent academic qualifications and pass the HSK level 4 or above.
(2) Applicants for Common Chinese Language Training:
Applicants must meet the requirements that ages above 16 years old, under 60 years old, in good health condition, no criminal record.
2. Documents and Material Required
(1) Foreign Students Application Form of Shenyang Institute of Technology and Curriculum.
(2) Diploma students are required to submit Graduation Certificate, Final Degree Certificate and Final Degree Transcript. All the above materials are required to submit notarization in English version.
(3) Proof of Funds.
(4) One copy of the blank pages and visa page of passport is required after getting the Chinese Visa.
(5) 8 ID photos (size:4.5x87.5px).
3. Application Procedures
Please apply according to the following procedures.
(1) Application for Admission
Please download the Application Form and prepare your Final Degree Certificate, CV, and the copies of school transcript, blank pages and visa pages of your passport. Please mail the above materials to the Teaching Management Department of Shenyang Institute of Technology or email to syyyy-iec@126.com.
(2) The Examination of Application Materials
The school will review all the materials and notify the students of the results after about two workdays.
(3) The Review, Approval and Payment of Registration Fees
Students should remit enrollment fee and approval fee to the appointed account of Shenyang Institute of Technology. School will submit all the application materials to the superior departments for approval which will be finished in about 20workdays.
(4) The Payment of Tuition Fees and Mailing Materials
School will send the scanning copy of government approval form, the Letter of Admission and payment list to the student via email. The student should pay according to the payment list and method. After receiving remittance, school will sent all relevant original documents to the applicant, including the approval form, the Letter of Admission and receipt.
(5) Visa Application
Students need to have the physical examination in their own country with the approval form, the Letter of Admission and the receipt to process X1 or X2 Visa for studying in China in Chinese embassies.
(6) Enrollment
Students should notify the school at least 15 days in advance and take your Letter of Admission and 72-inch ID photos to the Teaching Management Department to get enrolled. School will provide pickup service and arrange the dormitory before the students arrive.
(7) It will take you about 3workdays to get the verification of physical examination.
(8) Apply for Residence Permit
Students with X1 Visa should bring Medical Examination Report to Division of Exit-Entry Administration of Shenyang Public Security Bureau to apply for residence permit with will be approved in about 15workdays.
