On July 30, Li Hongyin, Party Secretary of Shenyang Open University, led a delegation to conduct an inspection and exchange visit to our university. Hu Xiaomei, Party Secretary of our university, Yang Yue, Vice President, and Li Ming, Assistant to the Chairman, warmly received the delegation and accompanied them on the tour.
Li Hongyin inspected our University’s Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial College, Huawei SIT Modern Industrial College, SIT Midea Digital Lighthouse College and KUKA Authorized Industrial Robot College. He spoke highly of our university’s highly intelligent teaching facilities and philosophy of talent cultivation through deep integrated industry academia cooperation. He commented that our university boasts first class educational facilities and remarkable talent training outcomes, ranking among the top peer non public universities nationwide.
At the forum, both sides presented their respective educational strengths and engaged in thorough discussions. The two parties established the cooperation principle of “complementary advantages and mutual empowerment”. Key cooperation priorities have been defined: delivering short term vocational skill training programs, creating pathways for connected academic credits education for on the job learners, undertaking customized special training programs for government and enterprises, co building online curriculum resource libraries, and advancing AI empowered teaching. Both sides will share practical teaching bases, teaching staff and community student source channels to explore a new collaborative education model integrating public open education resources and private application oriented higher education institutions.
Formerly known as Shenyang Radio & TV University, Shenyang Open University is a new type institution of higher learning approved by the People’s Government of Liaoning Province and sponsored by the Shenyang Municipal People’s Government. It is one of China’s 44 provincial level open universities, founded in March 1960. Supported by modern information technology, it runs distance education, community education and senior citizen education programs. It gives equal priority to academic degree education and non degree education, providing flexible, convenient, equitable and open learning modalities and diversified multi level educational services for social learners.
