On November 25th, Huawei Global Training Center in Guiyang-Guian New Area was abuzz with excitement. With curiosity about cutting-edge technology and aspirations for their professional future, students from our university embarked on a special research tour themed “Future Leaders Program – Decoding Corporate Innovation and Career Growth” co-hosted by Huawei. This immersive activity, jointly crafted by Shenyang Institute of Technology (SIT) and Huawei, integrated diverse forms such as on-site visits, thematic lectures, cultural immersion, and ecological exchanges, building a growth bridge for students from classroom to industry and unlocking new professional possibilities in the digital era.
Exploring the World’s Most Energy-Efficient Data Center – Experiencing Core Computing Power. As a key computing power support node for the national “East Data West Computing” project, Huawei’s Guiyang-Guian Shangtun Park has long been renowned as the “world’s most energy-efficient, green, and intelligent data center.” Stepping into the core area of the park, students were immediately drawn to the high-tech Huawei Cloud Exhibition Hall, A20 Computer Room, and Hard Installation Base.
Led by professional instructors, the students observed the construction logic of computing infrastructure up close, gained detailed explanations of its operation mechanism and safety guarantee system, and witnessed the practical applications of big data and cloud computing technologies in government services, industrial upgrading, people’s livelihood security, and other fields – it turns out that the digital technology in textbooks has long been quietly transforming all aspects of our lives!
Insightful Lectures + Ecological Visits – Breaking Through Industry Cognition Barriers.
At the thematic lecture “Cutting-Edge Big Data Technologies and Future Trends,” Huawei technical experts, combined with real industry cases, deeply interpreted the development trend of cross-border integration of ICT technologies and dissected the application scenarios of collaborative innovation among artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and big data. Every knowledge point was highly practical, leaving students exclaiming “eye-opening!”
In addition to technical sharing, Huawei instructors also exchanged ideas on corporate culture, talent development systems, and professional competence requirements, guiding students to accurately align their professional learning with industry needs and establish a career philosophy of “demand-oriented and innovation-driven.” Subsequently, the students visited Century Hengtong Information Industry Center, a partner enterprise in Huawei’s digital ecosystem, intuitively experiencing the vivid pattern of collaborative development in the regional digital industry, clearly understanding the collaboration logic of the industrial chain upstream and downstream and talent demand standards, which significantly clarified their career positioning.

As one of the eight hub nodes of the national integrated computing power network, Guiyang-Guian New Area, and Huawei’s Shangtun Park in particular, serves as a core bearing base for Huawei Cloud, Process IT, and Consumer Cloud businesses. Its technical strength and strategic layout enabled students to deeply appreciate the key role of the “China Data Valley” in the national digital economy development.
This research tour not only transformed students from theoretical learning to practical application but also achieved a profound leap from “understanding the industry” to “integrating into the industry.” As a vivid practice of our university’s practical education model, this joint university-enterprise research tour broke disciplinary barriers and provided a replicable model for collaborative talent cultivation between universities and industries.
