On July 23rd, the results of the 2025 Soft Science Chinese College Student Satisfaction Survey were freshly released, and Shenyang Institute of Technology was ranked on the list of strength. As one of the only two private colleges and universities shortlisted in China, SIT has been among the top 20 in terms of satisfaction in logistics service and employment support, proving with strength that “the university is good or not, and the students say it”.
The satisfaction survey of Chinese university students in the field of soft science lasted for 4 months, collecting nearly 300,000 questionnaires covering 2,818 universities in China. The survey shows that 20 projects, including student management, surrounding transportation, dormitory conditions, employment guidance, and campus canteens, are the most important concerns for undergraduate students. SIT stood out from it, that’s inseparable from the recognition of SIT’s services by all classmates, and further demonstrated “student-centered” educational philosophy at SIT, putting real effort into the core areas that students are concerned about.
In terms of employment support, SIT has established a solid foundation for students’ employment through various measures. Through online and offline collaboration to expand channels, we have held 16 double selection events and 240 various recruitment activities in the past year. 818 companies have come to campus for recruitment, providing 44,557 job demands and conducting 227 online recruitment activities simultaneously. SIT leaders led a team to visit and expand employment opportunities in enterprises, visiting a total of 266 companies and creating 3,890 new positions. Relying on modern industrial colleges such as Huawei, Midea, and KUKA, we conduct “order class” training and hold talent selection events with globally renowned enterprises and ecological partner companies. Since the beginning of this year, SIT and Huawei have jointly held ICT talent selection events, and 41 enterprises have achieved precise supply-demand matching; SIT enterprise order class has achieved remarkable results. All 24 people of the 2025 “SIT Kuka Order Class” have taken up their jobs, and the order class of Huazhong CNC “the Belt and Road” has been reported by China Daily; Huawei experts provide on-site guidance and DeepSeek’s “SIT Xiao Zhi” provides full process career support to enhance students’ job competitiveness. Campus local cooperation to build regional recruitment brands, jointly holding special job fairs with Shenyang, Shenfu Reform and Innovation Demonstration Zone, Kunshan, and Changshu. At the same time, SIT has taken multiple measures to assist students in taking the postgraduate entrance examination, and many graduates have been admitted to well-known domestic and foreign universities such as Beijing Institute of Technology, China Agricultural University, University of Liverpool, and University of Sydney. In recent years, the university has successively won the honorary titles of “exemplary organization of Employment Work for College Graduates in Liaoning Province”, “Best Service University for High Quality Employment” of China Education Online. According to a survey conducted by third-party professional organization Michaels, employers are 100% satisfied with the graduates and are willing to continue recruiting.
In terms of logistics services, SIT is guided by student needs and systematically upgrades its service system. In terms of food, two out of five student restaurants have been rated as “Liaoning Province Catering Quality Trustworthy Stores” and three have been rated as “A-level Food Safety Risk Units”. All of them have completed decoration upgrades and the “Bright Kitchen and Stove” project, building a safe and high-quality catering service system. In terms of “living”, we will build a new Dongyuan living area, renovate the Zhongyuan and Xiyuan student apartments, create high standard public service spaces, equip one-stop living facilities such as washing machines and dryers, promote the construction of residential buildings in the Yufu Longwan plot, and continuously improve the quality of accommodation. In terms of transportation and security, we have renovated campus roads and security facilities, implemented the “student protection” and “peak duty” mechanisms in conjunction with local departments, ensured the safety of teachers and students’ travel, and have repeatedly been awarded the “Liaoning Province Enterprise and Institution Security Work Collective Second Class Merit”. In addition, the entire school’s teaching, office, and living areas have achieved full coverage of air conditioning systems, creating a comfortable environment with constant temperature throughout the year, and comprehensively improving the convenience and comfort of students’ lives.
This impressive achievement is the best interpretation of SIT’s adherence to the “student-centered” educational philosophy.
