On June 28th, the results of the project approval review for the second batch of Huawei Industry-University Cooperation and collaborative education projects in 2025 were announced. This review strictly followed the management measures for the Ministry of Education's Industry-university cooperation and collaborative education project and Huawei's review process. It was jointly conducted by Huawei and education experts from universities, and adopted a combination of online and offline defense formats to ensure the review was comprehensive and fair. A total of 63 projects across the country stood out in the fierce competition and obtained the qualification for project approval. Among them, the project "Curriculum Reform and Practical Training Construction Based on Huawei DatacomStar" proposed by Professor Yang Yue's team from our university successfully passed the defense and was approved for project approval with its forward-looking design, solid foundation and significant application value. The approval of this project marks a solid step forward for our school in deepening the integration of industry and education and promoting collaborative talent cultivation, which is of great significance for improving the quality of talent cultivation in related fields.

This project takes the Huawei DatacomStar training system platform as its core engine and innovatively builds an educational model that integrates the entire chain of "technology - teaching - certification". The project deeply integrates Huawei's enterprise resources, systematically reconstructs the course system of data communication technology, and seamlessly integrates the entire process of enterprise-level network engineering from planning and design to operation and maintenance optimization into classroom teaching. In terms of the talent cultivation model, a progressive framework of "consolidating basic knowledge, engineering practice exercises, project practical training, and comprehensive ability assessment" is adopted. By leveraging real project scenarios, students are cultivated to possess core professional capabilities such as network planning and deployment, operation and maintenance management, and solution analysis. The project simultaneously realizes the certification connection of "learning as exam preparation", and the course content precisely aligns with Huawei's HCIA/HCIP certification standards, promoting the in-depth integration of students' professional ability cultivation with the authoritative industry certification system, and facilitating the seamless transformation of professional learning outcomes and vocational ability certifications. Through the multi-party collaborative mechanism of "school - enterprise - teacher - management", by introducing the Huawei Star Lecturer Group and real project demands, a closed-loop teaching system from virtual simulation to real machine verification is constructed, providing a replicable benchmark for the integration of industry and education for cultivating practical network talents.

Relying on the Huawei-Shenyang Institute of Technology Modern Industry College, the school precisely meets the new demands of the ICT industry's development for high-quality applied talents, and systematically promotes teaching reform and the optimization and upgrading of the curriculum system. The school fully leverages the bridging role of modern industrial colleges, deeply integrating Huawei's advanced technical certification standards, cutting-edge engineering practices, and real project cases into and reconstructing the professional curriculum system. At the same time, it strengthens the cultivation of students' innovation capabilities oriented towards solving complex engineering problems, achieving a precise alignment between talent cultivation and industrial demands. The approval of this project is an important achievement for our school on the path of integrating industry and education and collaborative talent cultivation. In the future, the school will take this as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation with enterprises such as Huawei, continuously optimize the talent cultivation model, and contribute to promoting the development of the ICT industry and cultivating more high-quality applied talents.
