Our school participates in the 2025 Huawei Thailand Digital Intelligence Summit to share new plans for cultivating digital intelligence talents

The 2025 Huawei Thailand Digital Intelligence Summit, jointly organized by Huawei and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) of Thailand, opened in Bangkok from May 29th to 30th. Professor Justin from our university was invited to attend the conference and shared our practical exploration of deepening the integration of industry and education with Huawei in the era of digital intelligence, which has attracted widespread attention.

In the current era of rapid technological development, digital intelligence technology is reshaping various fields of society at an unprecedented speed, and higher education is also facing new opportunities and challenges. In this context, our school and Huawei have jointly created a global model of industry education integration, leading the ICT talent cultivation in the era of digital intelligence. We will share and exchange our experience and achievements at the 2025 Huawei Thailand Digital Intelligence Summit, which is worth further exploration and reference.

At the summit, Professor Justin gave a keynote speech titled "Exploration of Talent Cultivation in New Quality Productivity under the Background of Digital Intelligence Era", sharing the practical exploration of our university's cooperation with Huawei to deepen the integration of industry and education in the digital intelligence era, and discussing the innovative path of new talent cultivation driven by AI technology. The school relies on 18 modern industrial colleges and 24 practical teaching centers, empowering professional transformation and teaching reform with digital intelligence technology, continuously providing high-quality teaching facilities and learning environment for students, and actively cultivating high-quality applied talents who adapt to the digital intelligence era.

Since the launch of Huawei Shenyang Institute of Technology in September 2024, the cooperation between the two sides has been continuously deepening. Signing strategic agreements lays a solid foundation for cooperation; Co building the Xingchen Joint Innovation Laboratory and upgrading the artificial intelligence education degree, rapidly promoting the integration of industry and education; By 2025, complete the upgrade of artificial intelligence computing power, deploy the DeepSeek big model, and develop multi terminal applications to achieve the construction of a smart education system and the transformation of cutting-edge technological achievements. Forming a school enterprise collaborative innovation model of "infrastructure construction technology breakthrough application landing", completing the closed loop of industry education integration, and becoming one of the universities with the largest cooperation scale and widest technology coverage with Huawei worldwide, leading the digital transformation of higher education with the "Shengong speed".

Both schools and enterprises are deeply integrated in talent cultivation and industrial services. In terms of talent cultivation, Huawei provides enterprise lecturers to schools, allowing students to be exposed to knowledge and experience from the front line of the industry; Carry out teacher training to enhance the professional competence of school teachers; Provide job support to create more opportunities for students' internships and employment. In terms of industrial services, both parties accurately align industrial technology standards, with Huawei providing original factory resources and schools integrating into the industrial ecosystem to jointly achieve results co creation.

In terms of professional construction and curriculum reform, both parties have optimized the professional structure and promoted the transformation and upgrading of five majors, including communication engineering, through the seven dimensions of modern industrial college construction. They have completed the reconstruction of 97 course contents and formed a collaborative education system of "industrial cognition ability enhancement innovation practice". The Industrial College adopts a teaching model that integrates industry and education. Through a collaborative teaching mechanism between schools and enterprises, it integrates theory and practice, jointly develops project-based teaching materials, and promotes precise alignment between professional courses and industry needs.

The school has explored a progressive talent cultivation path based on the construction of industrial colleges. In my freshman year, the Huawei Engineer Industry Sharing Conference helped students establish professional interests and understand the industry system; Introducing Huawei certification system in sophomore year to enable students to learn and master basic tools; Arrange enterprise intelligent factory practical learning in the third year to enhance practical abilities; Encourage students in their senior year to keep up with cutting-edge technological innovations. This hierarchical training model gradually enhances students' practical, mathematical, and linguistic abilities, enabling them to better adapt to the needs of enterprises.

Relying on the powerful computing power of Huawei Ascend AI server cluster, the school has achieved significant results in the digital transformation of education. Successfully completed the local deployment of DeepSeek, allowing teachers and students to access general model services through computer and mobile apps, and use large models to assist in scientific research and daily learning. The "Shen Gong Intelligent Q&A" based on self built vector database has been upgraded to "Shen Gong Bai Shi Tong", providing accurate and efficient services such as school affairs consultation and academic support for teachers and students. The smart learning platform under development has completed the construction of the first pilot course knowledge tree, supporting students to independently choose learning content and achieve personalized teaching. Teachers can also intervene through backend supervision. In the future, schools will continue to promote the construction of smart learning platforms, build student ability profiles to achieve adaptive difficulty adjustment, and promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence and education.

At the Smart Education Roundtable, Professor Justin shared his school's strategic layout of artificial intelligence and practical experience in integrating artificial intelligence with education. The strategic layout of artificial intelligence in schools is systematic and forward-looking, closely focusing on the core needs of higher education in the digital age, and committed to cultivating new applied talents with "hard power, practical ability, and innovation ability".

The school and enterprise have built a "collaborative evolution" ecosystem, and the jointly built modern industrial college covers multiple dimensions. Designed a "four stage progressive" training model that closely integrates enterprise needs with personal growth. At the same time, the school has deeply integrated its artificial intelligence strategy with the Belt and Road Initiative. In the practice of integrating artificial intelligence with education, a full chain application scenario has been formed, from "bottom-up technical support" to top-level teaching innovation. Through the three-dimensional integration of "technology education industry", a replicable digital template for higher education has been constructed.

Our school's cooperation with Huawei provides a valuable 'Shen Gong Plan' for the digital transformation of higher education. The innovative practices in the integration of industry and education, talent cultivation, and digital transformation of education not only enhance the school's own level of education and social service capabilities, but also provide reference examples for other universities. I believe that in the future, both sides will continue to deepen cooperation, constantly explore and innovate in the wave of the digital age, and make greater contributions to cultivating more high-quality applied talents, promoting the development of higher education and local economic prosperity.
