The 10th Liaoning Province College Students Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Star Competition in 2024 has come to a successful conclusion on June 16th. The participating students from the School of Energy and Water Resources of our university won 1 special prize, 3 first prizes, and 7 second prizes.

This competition is hosted by the Education Department of Liaoning Province, organized by the Liaoning Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Society and Shenyang Urban Construction College. It consists of three events: “Virtual Simulation Digital Mapping”, “Virtual simulation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Aerial Survey”, and “Virtual Simulation of Airborne LiDAR” . Each event is divided into professional and non-professional groups, attracting a total of 428 participants from 18 universities in the province.

For many years, the school has always adhered to the goal of cultivating applied talents, continuously promoting the reform of talent training models and mechanisms, actively building a scientific, reasonable, mature and perfect “platform+module” curriculum structure system, relying on high-end practical teaching center platforms, continuously improving students’ innovative spirit and ability, and striving to cultivate high-quality applied talents with innovative spirit.
